Logistics Pipes is an extensive overhaul of the Buildcraft pipe system. It allows for better distribution of items via pipes, more organised stockkeeping and easier automated crafting.
Note: This is not a new mod. We are working on Logistics Pipes since June 2012 (MC 1.2.5)

This Logistics Pipes is universal. That means you can use it in singleplayer and multiplayer.
You need Minecraft Forge and BuildCraft to run it, but we also added features to collaborate with a few other mods.

The mod is contributed under the MMPLv1.

Getting Started / Wiki
If you want to get started with Logistics Pipes, I recommend watching one of the video series below.
We dont have a starter guide yet, but if you are familiar with the old Logistics Pipes: You need power now. There is a Logistics Power Junction that needs to be connected with BC/IC2 power and a Basic Logistics Pipe. And that is just one of the many changes we made.

(Unfinished) Wiki over at http://rs485.thezorr...com/w/Main_Page. Come check it out and tell us what you think on IRC (esper.net): #RS485

Videos
There are three different spotlights, as you see here.

This is a spotlight from Wylker with two (long) parts

Spoiler: 2 Parts á ~60 mins
Thank you Wylker! It was a lot of fun to do that :)

There is also this nice spotlight from Direwolf20

Spoiler: 3 Parts á 30 mins
Thank you Direwolf20

And you might want to check out this video tutorial series from fluideight
But attention: There were some recipe changes since his version! You can look them up in the wiki.

Spoiler: 4 Parts á 30 mins
Thank you fluideight

Because you tried to use LP 0.7.3.5 with BC 3.6 . See the notes on the downloads above and you know what you did wrong.

From the first moment I got my hands on LP I've been a fan.

Not long ago I was looking for a new server to play on, and the first criteria I used to decide if a server was worth looking at was whether or not it had Logistics Pipes.

Thanks for keeping it alive guys.

Great! I'm glad there's finally a forum thread. Hopefully it'll eventually be just as good as AE is right now.

If you want something like AE, then why not use AE?

I think AE is a good mod, but I also think it's fallen into the 'magic block' syndrome that so many mods succumb to. The last thing I want to see if LP going the same route as AE.

In my opinion, there is no better mod for automated processing. Keep up the awesome work!

I couldn't agree more.  I haven't been around the minecraft scene too long, mediocre player from the prealpha to release 'til now etc., but I can assuredly say, in my humble opinion, that your opinion is indeed exactly what I believe.. lol...

This mod is just too good.

I also agree that I would hate to see it go down the route of any magic anything.  I'm not a magiccraft player, I like the machines and what-nots, so I hope that it keeps in line with what the title of it essentially is "[BUILDCRAFT] Logistics Pipes", nothing more.  Just refinements.

Then again, who am I but a player and not a modder.

Thank you again.  This seriously revolutioned my Minecraft experience.

Actually - when I was talking about 'magic blocks' I was talking about blocks which do something with no rational justification for them achieving that thing.

A good example of this is the Forestry farms (both the old ones and the new multi block structures). You hand the farms the necessary materials (eg saplings) and they plant the saplings, cause them to grow, and chop them down all with nothing actually DOING the planting, chopping etc. There's no lasers shooting out, no arms moving around, nothing to explain how the saplings got from the inventory into the ground, or how the wood/apples/whatever got from the trees into the inventory. It all happens as if by magic.

With Logistics Pipes there's none of that. If you want a chest to store certain items you have to tell the logistics network that that chest stores those items. If you want that chest to make those items available to the logistics network then you have to install the correct type of pipe or chassis pipe/module to do that.

While AE isn't on the same level as Forestry for 'magic blocks' I feel it lacks the involvement at the 'nuts and bolts' level that we get from Logistics Pipes.

I think that there is room for both mods. I like building robust logistics networks with LP, and if others chose a different mod, that's all good as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for your replies :)

Yeah we already had a lot of AE discussions. I dont really have a opinion about it, because I didnt play it much yet. But I dont think there is something like a competition between AE and LP.

Now, if someone wants us to go the "AE way", I can only say no.

Ahhh, I see.  Thank you for clarifying.  Ya, I totally agree :)

Just registered to report annoying bug in such a great mod. Button 'import' in crafting pipe doesnt work properly.
For example I have a simple recipe for sticks in autocrafting table:

Posted Image

But when I press 'import' in crafting logistics pipe it looks like this:

Posted Image

I think the sticks should be in the 'Output' section.
MC 1.5.2, Optifine D3, Forge #721, LP 0.7.3.5, BC 3.5.3 (build 30), and a couple other mods.

Also tried development builds but after build #456 it crashes when i put Extractor module mk2 into Rotary macerator (mod AdvancedMachines 4.9). Something with inventory calls, i think.

Hello AlexandrKanev, thank you for reporting that bug.
Although you could/should have used GitHub (see the link in the post) to write it.

But we're fixing that bug and bringing a new version out soon.

Edit: Fixed in 0.7.3.6
