The map uses quite a lot of redstone. My intent was for it to be classified as a real time strategy game. For reference, it was based off of Faster Than Light.
Point is, there may be some unpreventable lag.
Included in the map is a tutorial. If you haven't played the map before, I'd recommend doing it, though it is not required.
The game supports both single and multi-player. (multiplayer currently not working)
The map is designed to have replay value. You can play it as many times as you like, the experience should be a little different every time. This will be more prevalent in future updates.
The map will be updating, and with every update the experience ought to be better.
Please note that the map is very new, and will contain plenty of bugs. The difficulty is I can't test every possible scenario by myself, and that's where the community comes in! If you encounter any bugs, please post them below. I will make them my priority to fix.
If you are playing on a server, make sure that command blocks are enabled, and the map is set to peaceful. This is important for the map to work (although if you want monsters roaming around, that’s fine, but I’m not responsible : P )

Once you have won the game, you will end up in a kind of finishing room. In this room, there will be three codes. Post ONE of those codes on the thread to get your name on the leaderboard, plus some extra bonuses when a new game starts.
How are you going to do that, you ask? Well, this map will be updating frequently. Every time it updates new codes will be circulated, leaderboard updated, and I will add bonuses UNIQUE TO THE PLAYER (format me differently!) when a new game starts!
So go out there, and win the game!
One thing to note, if you are making a video of the map, it would be great if you didn’t reveal the codes to the watchers of the videos.
Also, please don’t cheat on this. It is meant to be fun and engaging, not something where you go into creative mode without winning the game.
If you are playing with friends on a server, please make sure that command blocks are enabled!
1.1.6 Has been proven to be a little buggy, therefore I am putting all previous versions of the map up for download. If you are playing an older version of the map, and find bugs, they might have been fixed in a future version, but I recommend posting the bugs anyways.
V 1.1: Increased shop rate, added speed effect, added teleportation potions, put some rewards in for exploring the cargo hold, and several bug fixes.

Very cool, but too much running around and the chat is too fast and hard to read. For certain things such as being attack should have different colors for the text. Give a speed effect too, and the minigame would be fun and enjoyable.
Alright, that is something I'll put into the next update. It might be a bit difficult to lower the running around bit (that was intentional) but I can certainly boost speed and color the text. Thanks for the feedback.
Also, could you please tell me which messages came too fast? Or just all messages in general?
There are planned uses for the airlocks and storage room, but as you said they only exist for the sake of existing. Eventually the cargo hold will have a good reason to explore (free fuel, ammo, etc.) but I can't reveal too much about what I am doing with the airlocks yet.
Hello community who will be posting tons of amazing stuff. This is gavmat8, co-creator and main non-redstone builder of the map (fredoscar did all of the redstone). Me and fredoscar88 worked very hard on this map and are still working hard to push out updates. Thank all of you for the videos, advise, and playing our new map!
Oh and also just one more thing. Make sure to share the link of this everywhere and to everyone you can. That way more people will download, find bugs, help us in future updates, and they will have an awesome time playing this map.
The game so far is very good and has a lot of potential, but some things are missing such as actual combat where enemy's board your ship or where you board their ship. I also think that since the ship is so big there should be a transport system of some sort around the place, it gets to be very hard to get places at a moments notice. What you could do is have a potion teleport sytem where if you give yourself a certain potion effect it teleports you to room with buttons that teleport you to different rooms around the ship, and maybe you only get maybe 16 of those potions to start with and you have to buy more at the store? or you could use SimplySarcs' teleporter:

Also, there has been a bug revealed that may make game play impossible! I am pushing for the first update of the map tomorrow, which oughta squish that bug.

Here's a suggestion. Make the enemy ships eventually run out of ammo because its disasterous if you run out of ammo.
