so i downloaded a treasure hunt map, and the very first part dealt with coordinates. when i pressed F3, i got the info that comes with it, but ever since i bought MC, when i press the f3 button, this happens:(there should be a picture here) the red stuff grows, and eventually covers the whole screen, and only goes away when i press F3, but it comes back when i press it again. is there any way to fix, stop, or even get it to disappear?

P.S. how do i upload the picture? its about the red rectangles that overlap.

If you play windowed, make the window bigger. That's about all I can really tell you.

that doesnt help at all, and i just tried this: the red stuff grows even if i press the escape key to pause, so the only way to pause the red stuff is to press F3. my MC runs at 5-9 FPS when idling.

That's a problem that I don't like. Co-ords are nice to know, but the red bar is pretty annoying. What is your view? Far? Tiny? Keep it to tiny, take out the smooth lighting, and change to simple, not fancy. You have to have FPS at around 20-50 to keep that red bar down. Hopefully that helps.

i keep it on the lowest graphics possible, but the funny thing is render distance doesnt affect anything besides render distance, the red bar stays for all. my computer's just bad, thats why FPS is slow

Well, at this point all I can tell you, even though it sounds dumb and unreasonable; save up money to get a new computer with at least 2GB of ram. My comp is 4 years old and can play it at a reasonable framerate. xD;

I really don't know what else I can say that's of more help. I know my suggestion is a cop out, but sometimes it's what you have to do.

I made a mod to deal with exactly this issue. Check my sig. It completely removes the red graphs.
FM DebugMod 1.2.5v1 - Fixes problems with F3 debugging graphs, restores entity labels, and strips down debug info (updated 2012-04-04)
