Hello everyone, today I present to you some ideas I had for using slimeballs. I am aware a couple of these may have been suggested in the past (example the slime block).
Uses involving pistons:
Right clicking with a slimeball on a block would make that face of the block sticky. This could be used for a number of things like keeping gravity affected things from falling or more importantly, pistons. If you have a couple of blocks stuck together with slimeballs, a piston should be able to move all of those blocks at once. Of course this would still have to follow the 12 block rule where pistons can't push more than 12 blocks in a line, but it would just be pistons can't move more than 12 blocks stuck together at once, no matter what form or shape though. Pistons being able to move multiple blocks at a time, in irregular shapes, has great potential in my opinion. Also, right clicking a regular piston with a slimeball would make it a sticky piston, and if a regular piston touches a face of a block that's sticky, the piston will interact with the block as if it is a sticky piston.
Uses involving different blocks:
This paragraph regards how slimeballs will be used on other blocks. Stairs should only be able to be sticky on the bottom, and back of the stairs. Half slabs should only be able to be sticky on the side that makes up a face of the full block, and all faces if it is 2 half slabs. Cactus should only be able to be sticky on the top and bottom. Other things like doors, buttons, levers, obviously shouldn't be able to be stickied.
Uses involving player interaction:
This could work one of two ways.
The first is when a player touches a sticky block, it will act as a ladder/vine.
Second, when a player touches a sticky block, they will be stuck for either a couple seconds, or by hitting
a-d/left-right repeatedly you can get yourself out.
If the player touches a sticky face of a block that is on the ceiling, or on the floor, I think you should have to press a-d/left-right repeatedly since it can't act as a ladder.
Uses involving a new block:
I've heard about this suggestion before, but I might as well put it in here. The slime block:
The slime block would be 9 slimeballs to craft it, and mining a slime block would give you 9 slimeballs.
The slime block would be bouncy. It could bounce you up to 3 blocks by stepping on it, or you can go 1 block higher every time you hit it, and falling from lets say a 20 block pole on one would raise you 21 blocks, or maybe even almost double that. It's all up to how the developers decide to make it if this happens.
Bumping into a slime block on a wall would bounce you back how ever fast you are going, and hitting a slime block on a ceiling would just make you fall faster.
Use involving redstone:
This is also something many people have wanted. Combining a slimeball with redstone dust should make redstick dust, or sticky redtstone dust (I think the first is more catchy). This redstone would be able to go up walls and ceilings and stuff like that. You would not be able to use redstick dust in place of anything that uses regular redstone in its recipe.
This could also work for other redstone components like the repeater and redstone torch, but stretching this to things other than just the dust might cause too many variants of the same thing.
Use involving tracks:
This again is something I've heard of before. You would be able to make sticky track by using the recipe for a regular track, but then placing a slimeball in the 2 open spaces (Or top-middle, and bottom-middle). Sticky track would also be able to go on walls and ceilings. Recipe for track:
I= Iron St= Stick S= Slimeball
I S I
I St I
I S I
Use involving weapons:
Combing any sword with slimeballs on the sides of it in the crafting table should make that sword sticky. A sticky sword would be the opposite of knockback, it would pull the mob/person towards you as well as giving the damage of the sword, to balance this out, sticky swords would not be enchantable.
Use involving a new item:
I think it would be cool to have a sticky glove. The sticky glove would allow you to climb walls with ease. The glove would have durability though to balance it, and will lose durability for every wall you climb. To use it you have to have the glove selected and hold right click as you climb the wall. Taking damage or letting go of the click will result in you falling. The recipe could be as follows:
L= Leather S= Slimeball N= Nothing
L S L
L L L
N L N
Thank you for reading all of this if you did, and if you didn't, oh well. I would appreciate any criticism you have. Tell me what you agree or disagree with, if you think anything should be changed, or if you want to add something. These will give many more uses for slimeballs other than magma cream, and sticky pistons.

I love redstone, he loves redstone, you like redstone, that dog likes redstone, same with that cat, that brick likes redstone, wait no he does not, that noob needs redstone, that blender likes redstone, and same with that pile of trash, that Sethbling wants redstone, WE ALL LIKE REDSTONE !!!

Yeah that could be an idea, but I think filling a crafting table with items just to make glue doesn't follow most recipes, maybe it should just be one slime ball and one bonemeal?

yeah I guess that would be cheaper.
