The block pack is a 16x16 simplistic texture pack and the general theme is that textures are groups of squares and rectangles. Nothing really has a shape, everything is basically a blocky texture. These blocks and rectangles make up the texture of the block.
This texture pack is still in development, mobs and items are not textured yet. Be sure to check in from time to time for updates!
I am open to suggestions for texture changes in the future.
I love the pumpkin and saplings, i feel like shading is needed in all your blocks so inside each of the rectangles you have on the blocks need to be less bucket filled, the wool needs a lot of work as it looks like one huge solid colour, All in all it's a good start
You need consistency. This kind of simple pack does not garner much favourable reviews. It looks like you filled the colour and drew some rectangles. It's so smooth! The stonebrick by contrast looks almost noisy!
The best texture is the pumpkin, that one looks the most 'textury'.

I'm not exactly the best at texturing nor am I good at getting the colors right. This is my first time texturing blocks so I just decided to start off simple. I agree it does need some major improvement but it is my first time texturing anything. I also agree that it is way too smooth which is why I tested an alternate texture with the cobblestone so it doesn't just look like two colors were thrown onto a block.
One MAJOR flaw with blocky texture packs. It's hard to avoid the tiling effect. Not to say this looks bad, I actually like it, but I see a lot of tiling problems. The most notable are netherrack and regular stone. Try not to make one large square within a single texture and you should be ok.
Also, obsidian has an obvious tiling error. Where the bottom of one block matches up with the top of another, the bottom of the texture has a large sqaure, while the top has a small one. Thats an easy fix though ;P
That's a pretty unique take on a simple pack, the patterns are very pleasing to the eyes =3 I would suggest more shading on things like the grass, stone, etc. because since you see so much of that texture, it starts to look kind of... weird? for the lack of a better term, I'm sure you can extrapolate some meaning out of that haha.
The shading on the trees is what I mean for the concept for the rest of the shading everywhere else, it just works so well and I think it would make the blocks that are most present (like grass, stone, etc.) more pleasurable to look at if you add some (what I'd call background shading?) to them =)
As Phil said, the pumpkins are just so smexy, love them =) Some of the tall grass though needs to be defined a little better I think, it gives it a pseudo-invisible illusion right now.
Keep up the great work =D

Lol yeah I noticed that when I was building the nether portal, it will be fixed.
I actually thought of that considering how flat the textures were but then I thought it would drift away from the original theme. I can give that a try and see how it works out.
I love it! I using it now, the only thing I can say is to finish the items
Thanks for downloading! The Items and mobs are definitely a priority, the only reason I don't have them now is because of how bad it looked lol but I'll figure something out.
Good job sticking with a theme!
If you are happy with it as it is that's fine
but
if you want to improve you need to 'embed' your textures http://www.planetmin...l-side-1501380/
Near the bottom of that post are tips on how to do this.
Thanks for that, it's what I'm going to do when the other textures are done. I would like to finish the texture pack completely then improve the textures from there.
Whoa. Great blockiness!(although i havent tried it yet)

I couldn't find a nether fortress so I just put the common blocks down, sorry for the darkness...
Here is what the GUI looks like. It's nothing special but it's easy to see what items you have.
Here is the block breaking animation: NOTE: this white block is retextured obsidian and IS NOT included in the download.
I may have missed a couple stages of the animation while taking the screenshots... :/
Here are snapshots from the popular mod GLSL Shaders mod for those of you who use it.
I love this mod.
