Atum is a dimension mod that opens up a whole new desert dimension that contains an eternal world full of sand, temples, and tons of new foes. Journey into Atum and discover ancient artifacts as you battle your way through vicious new enemies!

Atum is not for the faint of heart! Bring your best armor, weapon, and food/torches before you embark!

Traveling to Atum

To travel to Atum, you must construct a Jeweled Scarab as an offering to the gods, only the finest materials in the overworld will do.

Then by constructing a proper portal and right clicking the centerpiece with the Scarab the portal will open and your journey can begin!

(In the Alpha test, the portal is a 5x5 of Sandstone with a 3x3 hole in the middle and a 3x3 of sandstone below it, with 4 2 tall pillars of sandstone on the corners.)

-Massive overhaul of artifacts, 20+ new artifacts added!
-Performance increases
-Added Barbarians, they're jerks with big swords
-Dimension IDs are now configurable
-Artifacts Bows can now be repaired with diamonds

=Balance=
-Palm Tree minimum height increased
-Palm Log is now called Palm Wood, Palm Planks are now Palm Wood Planks
-Brigand damage massively reduced, they are no longer stronger than Pharaohs

What is Forge?
Forge is an API that allows us to do much more when creating mods. It is required for Atum to run. You can find the latest version of Forge here.

Why haven't you updated to X?!/You should update to X!
These questions are strictly against the MCF rules. We will report posts that are asking for updates and such. If you pay strict attention to our Twitter feeds (at the top) you will know when the updates are coming and what the status is on them (as well as Beta/Alpha version tests, development streams, and test servers!)

We love our fans and what you guys do with our mod, and we love hearing about it. Show off your constructions, your Let's Plays, your mod reviews, go talk about us all over the net. These kinds of things are beneficial to the mod.

At the moment, we're denying modpacks the right to use Atum. Atum is in an alpha state and has a lot of worldgen, and we don't want players making worlds for servers and such that might be corrupted the next version due to changes. So at the moment we will not be allowing modpacks, this will change in the future.

it seems you've prepared a lot :D
but it seems igyptian pick seems to be not have a textures for me
and the texture is great because you were the "Metal allergy" creator!

DUUUUUUDE awesome mod, it would be awesome if you could add like a villeage but more advanced then normal, there will be markets and stuff like that, and if you could add like rivers that is verry rare, the villeage could be next to it :)

just a few ideas :D

There's a lot, and I mean a lot, of content planned in the coming months. RebelKeithy is the coder for this mod (again) and he's going to be busy for a few weeks with school, but when we get another free gap to work on it we'll be releasing new content.

Figured I'd post the alpha for you guys to enjoy =)

The installation keeps crashing,i cant put the entire atum zip in mods,i tried putting individual parts on mods and .jar.
HELP ME.

Try a clean install, delete everything and redownload/run Minecraft. Install the latest Forge, delete META-INF, run Minecraft. Close it (if it didn't blow up), put the mod in the mods folder. Run again.

If you still get an error, post the error on http://www.pastie.org and post it here.

The ID is set to avoid most of them, and I believe (Keith will have to follow me up) there is a config for the dimension ID.
