How do you spawn Items beyond the data field , such as red dye, green dye, or colored wool?
I know that you put in the /item [Id] [amount]
But how do you do those items?

Make sure the server you are on has updated software. It could still have the non-updated software which means it would not have the item ids. If thats the case, not much you can do about it. Up to the servers owner.

Wait, whats the problem? You can even type in anything? Or you can't spawn any item (not just types of wools,etc)?

I know of two ways...

You can use a ":" sign (example: Redwood: 17:1) It seems to work on most servers.

Or you could try the "-" sign (Example: Redwood: 17-1) It works on most items.

Try it out! If not, then try asking the server admin to update the software, because then it is an issue of it being out of date.

From the looks of things, its the server's problem. It either doesn't recognize any item ids or the server hasn't been updated... I would talk to the owner.
