I see what you mean though. It's odd that they are so big...
EDIT: Yep, you're right. I made the forest mountain config option control the bog's ID, so Forested Mountains was left at 0. Another update incoming. *shakes head in disbelief*
EDIT 2: There, got the update out. Next bug please.
Well thank you for your fast updates, it's pretty nice!
Now, will you start hating me if I encountered another issue with the last update? That one is a little more difficult to ascertain but apparently when creating a normal world, while Ice Plains and Oceans spawn normally, there does not appear to be any other \/anilla biome anymore. (PS- my keyboard decided that the "\/" letter shall go on strike so I'd like to thank the "\" and "/" symbols for their precious help in that period of crisis)
If I may say something regarding the poll, I think you shall do as you wish with the biomes you feel redundant. Because the problem is that, whate\/er the biome may be, if you ask other posters "Shall I remo\/e" you will always get a large amount of no, e\/en if people don't use it or don't know what it looks like. People are just naturally opposed to the idea of losing anything, good or bad.
... you know the worst thing when your \/ key no longer works? You can no longer ctrl+\/ and that makes me crazy
OK, that's another bug down. It was just me disabling them for testing, then forgetting to restore them. I can't release a quick update though because I'm halfway through irritating sapling changes.
Sean, can you look at humidity and other codewise-things-that-affect-the-biome, because Forestry Hives seem to be a bit funky-ish. Found a Meadows hive in the Green Swamp, a Swamp Hive in the Steppe, etc. Still on the lookout for more hives.
Not a major bug, I think it isn't a bug at all, and it is far from important, since there still are hives, but hey, more logical placement would be nice.
Now I would have thought that hives would have been determined by Biome Dictionary biome types, but evidently not. I'll look into it.
EDIT: Does anyone know if Forestry is open-source?
I've finished reformatting the code, and there are a few big setup changes for the next update (I'm not going to describe them - you'll see)
Poll results: Redwood Forests - Lots of votes for adding them. I'm going to wait until Mojang has publicly released the name of all their 1.7 biomes. Salt Lake and Bog - A good number of votes to keep them, but they are still going. They have no purpose. They are almost exactly the same as oceans and fens respectively. Rocky Hills - I'm going to leave them as is. The poll was pretty balanced for once.
At the moment, I'm working on general improvements, such as achievements, and a single new biome. I might release a version this weekend.
Not sure if everyone has had a look at the new snapshot, but it seems like Mojang has gone and taken ideas from all the biome mods. e.g.
Birch forests from EBXL
Extreme Hills has become EBXL's Alpine biome
Savannas (which all biome mods add), but with my trees
My fir trees in the redwood forest
Probably more that I haven't found
And on top of this, there are all these rare versions of biomes. It's as if they're trying to make life hard for us...
Meadow, Clay Hills and Boreal Forest biomes. Overall, this makes exactly 50 biomes. There probably won't be more until either Forge or Mojang increases the biome ID limit.
I'll see if I can get an update out in a couple of days. There's just a few things that need finishing first.
Released a new update.
Has a few major changes, some improvements, and I've changed the name of "Savannah" biomes to "Xeric Savannah" (Thanks, Mojang).
Seeing that you just released an update for the mod, that would mean that the video currently up on the page is outdated. Would it be cool if a made a new vid for the forum page? You can check out my other mod reviews that ive done so you can see how i do them

Go ahead. The video has been outdated for nearly half a year, and it would be good to have a new one.
EDIT: Saw your spotlight on Metallurgy 3. It's quite good, especially as you did all 50 something ores...
Two thumbs up for you new Savannah, it's the best looking I've seen in any Biome Mod so far (thought it was surprising to see Oasis spawn inside).
Also I like the new config files. Is the ability to change biome size in normal world new? Because I can't play without it now. (btw is there a way to enter a decimal or can you only use whole numbers?)
Thanks for the positive comments on the savannah :).
The ability to change biome size is quite new. I added it at the same time as I started generating the biomes in the Default world type. You can't put in a decimal. If you do, it will either return an error or simply round it down to the nearest integer.
I've been thinking about my self-imposed limit of 50 biomes... and decided that really, there are more that need adding. So, currently in progress there are a few new snowy biomes: Frozen Archipelago, Cold Desert/Snowy Desert and Polar Desert.
Additionally, I'm going to clear up a few things.
Emeralds will generate in all Mountain category biomes.
Wolves OR ocelots will spawn in all Forest category biomes.
Horses will spawn in all Plains category biomes.
That should make it easier to know which biomes to go emerald hunting in
"Basic settings allow for villages to spawn in any of the new biomes. You can change that in the Structures.cfg file."
Can't find this file anywhere. I'm using MC 1.5.2 and created a beautiful BetterBiomes world, but it has no villages at all - no lifeforms from the MoCreatures mod, either. Totally lifeless. How can I fix this?
EDIT - OK, I had Adult Villagers Spawn turned off within MoCreatures, so I reseeded the world and now it has villages.
Still curious tho where that "structures.cfg" is ... ?

Sorry for such a long time spent to reply. I spent the last 3 days on a camp.
If it's the 1.5.2 version, it should be in .minecraft/config/Better Biomes/Structures.cfg.
In the latest 1.6.2 version, it has been split between the biome modules.
Your poll doesn't make much sense. If someone selects no, they may be stating that they want to have new blocks but not the vanilla blocks. Please do correct this.
Got this crash trying to load BB 1.3.0 using Forge 9.11.0.896 and Minecraft 1.6.4. I know 1.6.4 messed with the village code, so I guess I just have to wait for BB to update? Thanks. http://pastebin.com/jZEzXmp1

It shouldn't take me long to update. It's just that I've spent the last week camping, so I haven't been able to mod.

Don't expect any more updates for a while - I'm changing the way the code is set up and it could take a bit of time.
