Today's not Thursday, but there is a Snapshot out anyway - surprise!  Mostly owing to the totally awesome Mojam fundraising game-making maraton, the fine folks at Mojang were quite busy last week, and didn't release a Snapshot.  This is that Snapshot, all polished up and ready for you!  What lies inside?

Install Minecraft Snapshot 13w09a

with the Curse Client

Features:

• Mobs can now ride stuff that rides other stuff
  
• Players riding stuff will keep it when logging off (ie, if you’re on a minecart and log off, you will take that minecart with you)
  
• Animated blocks and items in texture packs now requires the animation definition (previously it was optional)

lotta bug fixes!! By the way, it was tweeted that 1.5 will be most likely released in early march, however, for those of you who play craftbukkit servers, it will take 1-2 weeks before the server updates. So either do not update. Another thing you could do better yet, just use the curse client, which supports downgrading, upgrading, and snapshots!

Too late, the 13w08a was skipped to 13w09a. Actually, this is really freaking awesome about animated blocks and even smooth lighting and I'm going to wait in pre-release soon!

When I click to download the snapshot using the curse client, the curse client opens up, but nothing happens. There is nothing about 13w09a, only 13w07a and below. Is this happening for anyone else?

Actually, the animated blocks are not working for me, it was currently missing texture.

Wasn't that removed a bunch of snapshots ago, or is this a different issue? Anyways, the constant updates were removed, because they made correct timing a pain in the... apple.
