Minecraft for Chrome - Now updated to version 1.0!
=============================================
Hey guys, first of all thanks for clicking on this post,

I just made a new Web app for Chrome and it is related to minecraft, it let's you play Minecraft right from your browser with the special launcher in a new chrome tab.
This will let you play fullscreen Minecraft like any other type of launcher only inside of your Chrome Browser.
The experience won't be that different, but you'll see that it starts up a lot quicker that the native launchers from Minecraft.

This won't be too new for any Windows and/or Mac users but will also bring Minecraft to the new platform of Chrome Books.

Thank you for taking your time to read through this post and if you want to download this Web App for your Chrome browser : Check out the link below where you can download the Web App along with instructions on how to install it.

If you have any feedback regarding this post or the Web App please mail me with the contact info provided in the download page, or leave a response on this post.

Also, if you like this webapp feel free to share it with your friend / clan !

Thanks - Bram van der Veen (#96AA48)

What's new?
===========
Version 1.0 :
There isn't that much new stuff, but the old version had some old links along with an annoying Creative Commons text.
All of that is now removed or replaced with a new or better version.
THe previous version included links to my old domain, that domain isn't mine anymore and if you still try to reach that domain you'll get redirected to an advert site so I recommend that you download the new version as soon as you can,

FAQ
====

Q : Why is there an iframe in the webapp and why isn't the applet loaded locally?
A : Chrome doesn't like applets to be loaded locally so the only way to do so was to load it on my website through an iframe, this doesn't have any effect on security.

If you have a question I'll respond as quickly as possible.

Very nice!

I reviewed the code, nothing seems malicious :)

I do want to know, why the iframe to your server? What does it process that can't be done client side?

Well that's because Chrome doesn't like Java applets to be run locally so the only way to do it was thru an external source, I would change it if I could.

Thanks for reviewing the code btw, really helps bring a perspective to what I made and brings more security for other users.

That was an interesting idea. I never thought of Minecraft being opened by the JVM as an applet, although that first guy did have an interesting point about the iframe. Maybe you could comment that, just for anyone else?

Thanks,

Do you have a link to the webstore version?  When I try to log in it asks for a username and password.  Would that be the minecraft username, google username, forum username or what?

Thank you!
