Hello, I'm trying to use mcp on Fedora 18, but when I try to run any .sh file that comes with mcp, I get an error (this is when I run decompile.sh):
ERROR:root:FATAL ERROR
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "runtime/decompile.py", line 50, in decompile
commands = Commands(conffile, verify=True, no_patch=no_patch)
File "/home/mason/Downloads/mcp/runtime/commands.py", line 176, in __init__
self.startlogger()
File "/home/mason/Downloads/mcp/runtime/commands.py", line 360, in startlogger
filehandler = logging.FileHandler(filename=self.mcplogfile)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/logging/__init__.py", line 897, in __init__
StreamHandler.__init__(self, self._open())
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/logging/__init__.py", line 916, in _open
stream = open(self.baseFilename, self.mode)
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/home/mason/Downloads/mcp/logs/mcp.log'
I have python installed, openJDK installed, and I ran"chmod +x" on everything, so what is the problem?

I could be wrong, but I think you need administrative permissions or run it as admin(don't know how to do in Fedora if there even is such a thing in it). Because I think the program isn't getting permission to access the file.

That's the problem, I cant run it as root, or else it says "Please don't run MCP as root!"

EDIT: Also Fedora 18 is a linux distro

Yeah I know, I don't have linux.
the only other option I can think of is using forge to do it and see if that works.
