Trapcraft

Single/Multiplayer Compatible

This mod was original developed by Stewiecraft, he did not update due to not have any spare time. He has given the mod to me to update and add new cool features. He may return to the mod but it is unlikely.

The Dummy

Taunts all monsters within aggro radius and line of sight to attack it.
Has 20 health and drops the vanilla human head on death.
Note: Due to their insatiable hunger for human flesh, zombies are not tricked by the dummy.

Igniter

Lights on fire when powered. The distance the fire is placed can be upgraded using an Igniter range module.

Installation

Client / Single Player
  • Download the Version for your version of Minecraft and Forge.
  • Open that forge download with an archiver. I recommend 7zip or Winrar.
  • Open the minecraft.jar file with your archiver (7zip, Winrar).
  • Copy the files from inside the forge download into the minecraft.jar file.
  • On Windows and Linux, delete the META_INF folder.
On Mac, go into the META_INF folder and delete only the files which begin with 'MOJANG'. Leave the rest untouched.
  • Close both archives and run your client once. Exit the game without loading or creating a world.
  • If you have done everything right, you will now have a 'mods' folder in your .minecraft folder.
  • Now put the Trapcraft.zip in the mods folder and run!
Server
  • Download the Version for your version off Minecraft and Forge.
  • Open that forge download with an archiver. I recommend 7zip or Winrar.
  • Open the minecraft_server.jar file with your archiver (7zip, Winrar).
  • Copy the files from inside the forge download into the minecraft_server.jar file.
  • Close both archives and run your server once. Exit the game.
  • If you have done everything right, you will now have a 'mods' folder in the same folder where you run minecraft_server.jar.
  • Now put the Trapcraft.zip in the mods folder and run!

Nice!!!

So, mobs think they can walk on the grass trap?

Also, there are some BBCode bugs in your post

about the Fan

items (dropped) on ground are affected by it?

it should be very good to automically make chicken egg to lovely chests!

+

about the grass covering,it will affect mobs? so they dont know there is hole and fall in,right?

Do you think that you could add a config option to craft the dummy by placing a Human Head on two wooden planks?

EDIT: Realized I wasn't being too clear, I meant the vanilla Human Head mob drop

Are you planning to update Doggy Talents again?  The release is extremely buggy and a word either way would be great.

about the fan,it didnt work because it needed a power? i dunno, but it worked on items because you had the magnetick chets, thats why you was thinking that was working only on items xD

and can i ask you? how do you get the signature you have now?

I see.  Any chance you would just put up your update?  I have been getting the feeling that Raust isnt super interested, and people on my server are really chomping at the bit for it!

Either way, thanks for the answer, and I'll stop the off topic posts now :-)
