Looking to recruit players into our dual vanilla creative/survival server , read below:
Minecraft Ermahgerdia is a growing minecraft community consisting of veteran MC players looking to recruit some new players into our mix!
The server owner, myself, has run various servers in the past (both public and private) with great success and thus I am not new to the operations. This means you can rest assure that your creations are safe and that the server runs optimally.
Why Ermahgerdia?
There are tons of other servers out there, so why choose this one?
- DUAL GAME MODES: With the help of multiverse play either Survival or Creative on separate worlds with a shared community but separate inventories. Play how YOU want!
- Classic Vanilla game play; no economy mods, no tekkit mods, nothing to get in your way.
- Mature Community; many of us have been playing since Alpha, and are a good bunch to chat with! We are not looking to be a big unfriendly server like others, we want just enough people to always have companions but not have strangers! (We also have a dedicated mumble server if you are into hearing sexy voices while playing!)
- No Map resets; Only the nether will be reset for the upcoming additions - that's all!
- Minimal mods; only mods are to increase performance and administration of server.
The Server
The map itself was made in Dec 2012 (creative in Feb 2013), and has very minimal work done to it other than a core area where we built in private. It is a very mountainous map but has flatlands further out. It is located in New York, but we have players from both North America AND Europe who play regularly.
- Be sociable; while you are allowed to build anywhere (Survival map is 3Kx3K and Creative 1.5Kx1.5K) feel free to build up close with other players. Start a town, a shared project, etc. - dont be a hermit!
- Sparse Mods; like noted above, the only mods on the server are admin-side. They do not effect game play!
- No hand holding; While we highly promote a sense of community, dont expect free handouts from the server admin or other players. (although I am sure you will find some from our players haha). If you die, you die - thats a part of survival, it is your duty to prevent it. The survival server is set on hard difficulty.
- Multiple Timezones; We have people from many continents, and look to expand this playerbase to have people on 24/7 !
- Server Specs; The server is currently a 12 slot server. This suited our private needs of 20 people but as we recruit the server's ram and slots will be increased to meet demand but only to the point its needed, economical! We are also up 99.9% and are LAG FREE
- Donations; Donations help the server run longer, but I dont plan on keeping it from dieing. We have a dedicated clanpay system with our host - your donation is only usable for the server, i cant pocket it with this system! Donations will have small benefits in the future, ie: /home, /tp , colornames. Nothing special or overly beneficial but enough to say "Thank you for allowing me to use some of my money to eat!"
The Server currently has the funds to last until AT LEAST 2014. We ain't goin nowhere baby!

The Rules
Now that part nobody likes, but luckily we keep it fairly minimal here. Our philosophy is that a mature playerbase does not need many rules as they can make rational decisions.
- No Griefing; Why do we bother mentioning this? cause we mean it! you get one chance, if we catch you with Core Protect griefing purposely you will be banned permanently It takes me 30 seconds to roll-back everything a player has ever done to the map - so do not waste our time
- Be Mature; While the majority of our current player base are mid 20s/30s, we allow people of all ages to join. Maturity is independent of age, but it is essential to remaining on our server.
- Only Mob Spawners for Mob Farms: Only mob farms from actual spawners are allowed. no giant 300x300 things.
- Be Active; You need not play 12 hours a day (but some of us do..), but as long as u can hop on periodically in your life you are fine to stay. We have outside lives too, Minecraft comes second. We do not need people planning to one-off a build or visit to apply to this server, this is for players thinking longterm (in whatever measure of activity they deem fit).
- Have fun!; Corny sure, but we mean it. Minecraft is a very community driven game so this is essential.

Now if you skipped all that above, go back and read it - you are responsible for knowing it and am assumed to have read it!
Requirements: None really, just be mature and active! I will be pretty much taking everyone who wants in and then screening them ingame to see if they are suited
All you need to do is leave a message here, post your age and general location (just for i get an idea of who you are, this wont sway me from choosing you). We want people from all timezones !
Also include how long you have played minecraft, and what your favourite thing to do is.
