UPDATED!

Hey everyone, I happen to like the mod called Minecraft Comes Alive, but it is sometimes a pain to install. I am on OSX, and I made an installer script! I want to give it to you so here you go! Posted Image

LINK TO DOWNLOAD:
http://www.mediafire...57wh9kfqxtdf2bt

Do NOT ask WildBamaBoy if you have problems with this installer! Ask me instead.

NOTE: This does not contain minecraft.jar, minecraft forge, MCA, or a virus

REQUIRES: The Unarchiver. It is free, so don't worry.

If there is anything wrong or the script does not work then post the terminal output in a spoiler.

COMMON ERRORS:

If terminal says this:
The installer folder was not in the Desktop
Killing process...

Then you must move the installer folder to the desktop.

If terminal says this:
No Minecraft Comes Alive detected in the installer folder
Killing process…

Then you must download MCA and place it in the installer folder.

If terminal says this:
No README.txt in the installer folder. This is a serious situation.

Then put README.txt in the folder!

Download mark:
100 Downloads: Feb 7, 2013
1000 Downloads: March 26, 2013
10000 Downloads: Not passed yet
100000 Downloads, Not passed yet

NO LONGER WORK DUE TO UPDATE REMOVING MINECRAFT.JAR

Register or log in to remove.

I expect that this script will get more fame soon, as you put time into this and the MCA mod just came available to MP. I thank you for the script, and good luck. :)

Download MCA and put the ZIP named "MCA v3.2.0b.zip" into the MCA_INSTALL_OSX folder

If that does not work download this script again.

Hi, I did the entire process and it said that it worked in the terminal, but when i open a new world and play mine craft the changes are not there. I passed all the tests, extracted every thing and  got to this message, "You're done, go enjoy yourself" Why is it not updating my mine craft?

I've had the issue that I can't get MCA to install. Even though I've followed all of the listed instructions about putting the MCA folder in the installer folder, in the terminal it still says No Minecraft Comes Alive detected in the installer folder
Killing process…
Any ideas on why?
Thanks!

I did it again and it said that 3 mods were loaded, forge, fml, and mcp, it does not say MCA and when I play the villagers are the same and no changes took place. now what?

I might have to fix that. Lemme check the script

EDIT: If you have a problem, try redownloading the script.

I'm so excited about this mod! Just one thing...It keeps saying no Minecraft Comes Alive in Installer folder, and I know to put it in the Installer folder...I'm just not sure which file to put in the Installer folder and where the Installer folder is?

It downloads and installs forge for you. However, you NEED to open the ZIP file and put the folder on the desktop. Then take MCA and place the zip in the MCA_INSTALL_OSX folder (that was created after opening the ZIP file downloaded). Then run

I hv my latest forge myself so i just dragged both "MCA" and "mca v3.3.5.zip" files from folders inside MCA folder into its specific folders as told. And.. IT WORKS!!!  so yea, i did it with my own way after failing from using script installation for a couple of time. Hope you guys can make it yourself or you can do as i did. Posted Image

If you still want to install with the script you have to use a (browser which can get you a "zip" file after downloading, i use Opera) to download MCA in order to get a detectable MCA .zip file for the script.

OR if you can only get a MCA as a FOLDER instead of zip file, follow this four steps as below:

1. open the MCA folder, get in "Place Contents in mods Folder" folder, copy paste the "mca v3.3.5.zip" file into "MCA_INSTALL_OSX" folder on your desktop.

2. Run the installer script.

3. Then after done, go back to MCA folder again. Open both "Place Contents in config Folder" and "Place Contents in mods Folder", copy paste "MCA" and "mca v3.3.5.zip" into specific folder in .minecraft directory as told.

4. Have fun!
