After having played countless servers with 50+ players, I've realized two things: One, you have a better multiplayer experience when you actually get to know the people you are playing with and two, there are a lot of stupid plugins out there that take away from the game. Instead I feel you should get to know the people you are playing with and collaborate so that we all can have a good time. We are striving for a utopian survival experience ;D.

To run through our setup:

• No one has an advantage over another in terms of rank or perks.
  
• Strictly survival
  
• Server is up 24/7 with minimal lag.
  
• Only plugins are for administration purposes.
  
• Everyone is welcoming and will get to know you
  
• Average amount of players on at a time: ~5
  
• There aren't any defined objectives; do whatever the hell you want and have fun playing the game.
  
• And more which I either forgot to mention or had trouble summarizing. Just post here with any questions you have.

Why do you want to join: Always enjoyed Vanilla minecraft, but have never really found a server that allows you to get to know the people you are playing with. Would be great to be able to have a good laugh with everyone while working on survival projects, and yeah, I haven't found a server that tries to do that. I like what you're trying to do here.

Ideally I'd like try to be online almost daily for about an hour or so to help around and manage my own little build. But my minimum is three 1-2 hour play sessions  a week.

Why do you want to join:

I'm looking for a new 100% survival server.  I really like the idea of having everyone on an equal playing field without any cheat plugins like WorldEdit or spawning items. Vanilla is the best flavor.

How often would you play on the server: I'm online rather a lot, usually every day, but I can guarantee I'd be on at least once every two days, maybe slightly less during assignment time (I'd obviously let you know of these times!)
Why do you want to join: You seem to have the kind of community server I'm looking to join. I'm taking a break from running my own small vanilla server and would like to experience things from a non-admin view again, without any stress, worry, or pressure that I'd be needed on for hours and hours every day. (I have mapmaking commitments also!)
Skype Account: I don't currently use Skype and would prefer not to; I do however have Steam and regularly check the forums if you need another way to contact me.

Question:
- how many players are you planning on accepting? You say a small server in the title tags but then say that there's no limit to how many you're accepting

How often would I play on the server: I can't really give you an average... For lots of reasons xD
For one, it strongly depends on the server (which I haven't seen yet ). Also, my work schedule is hectic at best... and the free time I have heavily varies through the weeks. But, if it gets to be a fun server for me, I'll probably end up online more often than if it doesn't.

Why do I want to join: This sounds like a TON of other applications I've seen on posts like these, and I generally hate cliche's...
But, I've been looking for a small (mostly) vanilla server, bent on the original game-Surviving, mining, having fun xD
Between the servers that depend on player donations, and butt-kissing to rank up (I'm generally against ranks anywho :/), and servers with terrible communities, and servers with WAY too many game-altering pluigns, texture packs, mods, etc. It gets really hard to find the one that's JUST right (I'm hoping this one will be!)
Skype Acount: Nonexsistant... I dunno if that's an issue, but I don't like using Skype for various personal reasons
