Custom renders are advanced java. You basically need to know how to  use Lightweight Java Gaming Library and OpenGL which is a graphics library to get a render with . This is what someone else told me as I also asked something similar lol.

BTW- dont worry it is the right section

EDIT: heres an incomplete tutorial for LWJGL, the tutorial is focused on rendering a custom GUI (cant really tell since it is incomplete) using LWJGL. All it only does is setup everything you'll need first, but it worth the look.

A bit more expanding on what Brinith said, In blender, you can export your project as a ".obj" file format.  This is by far the easiest to work with.

You'll have to make a custom .obj parser which isn't too difficult if you know anything about file I/O in java...Good luck! I'd love to see more stuff like this in the modding community!

I found LWGJL tutorials on Youtube for general purposes, not just for minecraft. It should help, but I haven't actually watched it yet.

Episode 24 should be the one you are looking for, but I think its best for you to watch them all.

Easier method is using a application called Techne and just exporting it as .java ;)

the problem is that this method only works for blocks and mobs(maybe some other things). However, when making a tool or bow, you have to change the normal vanilla render of a sword to something else and it doesnt work with the .java file(you maybe could, but never heard of someone doing so). I have only seen it done with .obj files.
