Attack Damage: (Varies by proximity) 28 (14xHearts)
Behavior: This mob spawns in small numbers
along the nether. They do not move at all and are immune to knock back.
Their main purpose is to seem like statues. When a player is 20 blocks
or less in distance it will stare at the player. The mob will be begin
to shake a bit as the player gets closer. And when the player is in a
radius of 1 - 0 blocks, the mob will activate its detonation and explode
in 2 seconds regardless if the player moves away. The explosions cause
no structure damage.
What is the purpose of this Mob?: This mob
will provide more of a creepy feeling to the nether and will force the
player to watch there step even more when battling and adventuring. You
must also be on the watch out for these silent bombs and stay clear.
The use Of Combustion fluid Will below the mobs.
Sift
Spawning: Desert, Desert Temples.
Health Points: 14 (7x Hearts)
Drops: Sift Brain, Sand.
Attack Damage: 3 (1.5 Hearts)
Behavior: This mob lives in the desert
disguised as a sand block. it is off-toned from sand but newer players
wont see the difference. once the player comes near the block it will
transform and attack the player. These mobs are hostile day and night.
Once this mob is close to death it will retreat under sand block were
you can dig it out to find it, and finish it off! Note when it retreats
it scurries away anddoes notturn back into a block!
What is the purpose of this mob?: The mob
would add caution to the desert with out being to dangerous to the
player unless they are in large numbers. (which they usually wouldn't
be) the desert in the day is normally barren and pointless except for
villages and temples. The brains (other then their crafting use) can be
eaten but can cause nausea. and with the brains there can finally be an
addition of nausea out of the coding.
The use Of Sift Brain Will below the mobs.
Rainbow Sheep
[Rough idea of the mob~]
Credit to Equivocus for allowing me to use his idea~
Spawning: Everywhere on grass.
Health points: 8 (4x Hearts)
Drops: Rainbow wool
Attack Damage: Really? It is just a sheep. Come on now...
Behavior: It's behavior is the same of normal sheep.
What is the purpose of this mob?: In the
whole game there are basically no rare mobs. Spider jockeys are
basically it and one can do is just kill it. This sheep would be rare to
find and if you were to find two of them you could breed Rainbow Sheep.
They cannot be dyed.
Goliath
Spawning: Randomly During sieges, When a zombie is struck by lightning. Health points: 70 (35x Hearts) Drops: 5 - 8 Emeralds, Rotten flesh and Iron Ingots. Attack Damage: 10 (5x Hearts with Large Arm) - 6 (3x hearts with smaller Arm) Behavior: This mob is to be considered a mini-boss for the Villager-Zombie relationship. They spawn rarely but once they do, watch out! This mob is slow moving, but aids zombies in their quest for the to murder the villagers. The Goliath shares a similar size to the iron golem, but a bit larger. The Goliath will attack any living entity, except Zombies, much like the wither.
A factor that makes the Goliath a threat and a boss is it highly resistant to knockback, and being pushed into the air. Explosions hurt them but the knokback is highly lessened. The Goliath will attack the villagers, but also destroy blocks comprised of cobblestone, wood planks, etc to get to them. The Goliath will attempt to destroy the village, and make in them ruins. It must be noted they cannot destroy all blocks, and often will switch between destroying villagers and chasing villagers so they cannot destroy everything in only a matter of minutes. What is the Purpose of this mob?: This mob will add more to the villages and will pull a player out of a comfort zone when near villages as this mob is made to battle iron golems. When this mob is defeated, it will give emeralds for defeating it that you can then use in the village you just saved. -Notes-
-On easy the Goliath does not destroy blocks.
-Oh hard mode its rate of arm swings switch.
-Performing the task of transforming it back to a villager with the potion of weakness and golden apple only work when its health bar is at 25%.This will also result in it exploding with its drops.
-The explosion does not cause any damage or destruction to blocks.
-It is effected by sunlight, but it cannot kill it.
-Once all villagers are killed and the mob remains in standby it will de-spawn.
Spirit
Credit To jade-daxej For the Idea~ Spawning: Very rarely in mine shafts and caves. Health Points: 8 (4x Hearts) Fades away when slain. Drops: Attack Damage: 2 (1x Heart) Behavior: The mob can be seen in a transparent fashion. The mob is ghastly, but neutral in its Villager-like form. The mob will appear in caves and mine shafts VERY rarely, and when it shows its self to you it will aim to lead you to treasures, or hazards. On spawning there is a 50% chance for it to become a "Fruitful Spirit" that will attempt to show you some treasures. And the corrupted spirit will lead you to dangerous monsters, lava and your own destruction. The mob, when provoked, will transform into its real form and attempt to attack you. It is Immune to projectiles due to its low health and damage. Most of the time the mob with fade away from you, phase through walls, and disappear. What is the purpose of this mob?: The mob is to be an aesthetic mob for mine shafts, like bats, but that add more of a scare to the player. Note:
- This mob is rare, and the chance of it leading you is rare as well so it doesn't take the fun out of looking in caves.
Frost
Credit to Jacko561 for the idea and concept.~ Spawning: Randomly in cold Biomes there is a 10% when its generated as a structure a form of crater that has netherack and obsidian. and now in the freezing biome the Blaze went through a metamorphosis and is Now the Frost. Health Points: 25 (12.5x Hearts) Drops: Frost Rod, Frost Core. Attack Damage: 7 (3.5x Hearts) Behavior:This mob is the slower version of the blaze. instead of 3 fast fire balls it blasts 2 slower but stronger ice balls. The ice balls slow down instead of catch the player on fire. Why have this mob?: It adds more to the blazes, Much like Spiders and Skeletons. They also add something to cold Biomes. They are also the opposite to blazes, being stronger but much slower. For combat maps, providing more challenge if added with blazes.
-ITEMS-
Potion Of Nausea Recipe: Sift Brain Description: This one is pretty self explanatory. the Sift Brain can be used as a way to finally make Potions of Nausea.
Potion Of Combustion
Recipe: Combustion Fluid + "Potion stuffs~" Description: The potion will make the drinker or splashed catch fire, and smoke intensely.
Potion Of Retreat
Recipe: Potion of weakness + Sift Brain or Mundane portion + Sift Brain. Description: When drank, the player will take more damage from hostile mobs and they appear slightly bigger. This, with the threat of being killed quicker will usually make the player want to retreat from monsters.
When in splashed on hostile mobs they will lose all interest in fighting you, and move away from you. The moving away is important in the to help make farming monsters less easy. but if farming isn't your goal this makes gathering easier with out the threat of monsters when they are splashed.
Potion Of Aggression
Recipe: Potion of Retreat + Fermented Spider eye
Description: When drank, you will do more damage to hostile mobs only. This promotes the player to fight more. When splashed on a hostile mob, the mob will attack any mob it is near by. Regardless if they are the same mob, or not it they will indiscriminately attack any other mob. This potion can be quite entertaining, and it actually helps when splashed on the player and on other mobs as you will do more damage and they no longer just focus on you.
Rainbow Wool
From: Shearing the Rainbow Sheep. A trophy of sorts for finding such a rare find!
BBQ Stand
Wooden BBQ Stand Crafting Recipe: 4 Sticks, 2 Wood, Coal. Description: This is a portable Furnace. Not to take away the use of the furnace by any means . This Item when Placed on the floor It has A Total of 8 Uses. [The same amount as a single piece of coal] and It cooks just a bit faster. When used up it disappears. The Item is aimed to be Used at the beginning of a new map instead of a furnace. When traveling and one only has a bit of coal and they have food to cook. When struck the stand turns back into an item for easy travel. The item gives off SOME light even when not cooking to make it a nice addition when in caves.
Trap Block
Credit to colers5 For the Stone snakes idea. Very tweaked but it gave birth to this idea! Recipe: Un-craftable. Creative only. Description: This item is spawned In Jungle temples. It Take the shape of the temple blocks. It is Destructible, But when mined like any other block instead of giving off a block it detonates. No timer. Instantaneous. This Block is a threat to Those who aim to cheat In the Jungle Temples by just mining through everything. It could also be used in my adventure maps aswell~ Note: The Explosion Should not cause any destruction to blocks.
I can't thank you enough for reading this far, and I beg for your support! That's all to the idea. Please share, and support the idea! Give feedback weather good, or bad to help improve the idea!
Spawning: Nether Strongholds, Nether. Health Points: 25 (12.5x Hearts) Drops: Combustion Fluid, Glowstone dust. Without any kind of normal statues, this would just stick out like a sore thumb. And considering the size of the hallways in Nether Fortresses is 3 blocks wide, it means you can just walk around them quite easily. Also, I don't like the idea of it exploding, it seems to me that it would just be a stationary creeper. So it would be pretty easy to spot, kill, and avoid, for this I would have to say no to the entire concept.
Sift
Spawning: Desert, Desert Temples.
Health Points: 14 (7x Hearts)
Drops: Sift Brain, Sand.

This is good, if it made a burrowing animation and didn't actually become the sand block (sort of how the Halloween mod made some zombies appear in the ground itself) I would support. However, I do not agree with the brain. It seems to me that you're adding a pointless item (who would really eat one of them if they cause nausea?). It would be better if they bit the player and induced nausea as a result, like how cave spiders poison you and how Wither skeletons create the Wither effect. I would say that it should actually only rarely drop sand blocks, maybe nothing at all. I also disagree with the retreat patter, it would be very annoying to fight them if they all just jumped back into the sand before they died.
Rainbow Sheep
[Rough idea of the mob~] Credit to equivocus for allowing me to use his idea~ Spawning: Everywhere, On grass. Health points: 8 (4x Hearts) Drops: When sheared It drops 3 Random colored wools. Attack Damage: Really? ts a sheep? Come-on now.. Behavior: Its Behavior is the same of Normal sheep. What is the Purpose of this mob?: In the Whole game there are basically no rare mobs, Spider jockeys are basically it and one can do is just kill it. This Sheep would be rare to find and if you were to capture it and find another you could breed Rainbow sheep. They cannot be dyed.
No argument from me. Except that no, spider jockies are not the only rare mob. Zombies and skeletons now spawn with armor, creepers can be charged, and pigs can turn into zombie pigmen.
Giant
For this, I'd have to disagree with how you implemented it. I would much prefer it:
Separate from the current "giant" in the code; many mapmakers (I'm planning to at the very least test out how well that would work) use that giant as a boss mob.
Spawn in some kind of temple, probably in a pit. When I think of boss mobs, I like to think of having their own personal chamber, such as how the Enderdragon has the End. It adds atmosphere, it was one of the main things I enjoyed about the Aether mod.
Bomb
Recipe: Combustion Fluid, Gunpowder. Description: This Item can only be Stacked up to 5. This is a throw-able item. When thrown it will detonate after4 Seconds. The explosion is rather small and does 4 Hearts of damage.
Full time disagree here. I would prefer a splash potion that created smoke particles on contact, though. Mainly my reason against it is adding an item purely for spam purposes. For some reason, though, people tend to use potions less, probably because of the complexity of the brewing system (not a bad thing), so that's why I mentioned potions.
Potion Of Retreat
Recipe: Potion of weakness + SiftBrain or Mundane portion + SiftBrain. Description: When drunken the player will take more damage from hostile mobs and they appear slightly bigger. this with the threat of being killed quicker will usually make the player want to retreat from monsters.

It seems to me that this would be useful to have as an effect, but I don't think it should be brewable. Here's my logic: No vanilla player is going to back away from mobs attacking them, and it's much more efficient to run away. However adventure maps could do all kinds of things with this, including a "catch the zombie" race and such. It's a lot like the nausea effect; it's unlikely any vanilla player would use it on themselves, but adventure maps can do so much with it.
Potion Of Aggression
Recipe: potion of Retreat + Ghast Tear
Description: When drunken you will do more damage to hostile mobs only. This promotes the player to fight more. When splashed on a hostile mob this mob will attack any mob it is near by. Regardless if they are the same mob or not it they will indiscriminately attack any other mob. this potion can be quite entertaining and it actually helps when splashed on the player and on other mobs as you will do more damage and they no longer just focus on you.
Fermented spider eye is actually the item that "corrupts" and reverses effects on potions (I.E, potion of healing to potion of harming).
And for this I have to disagree, I don't think it would be very useful, even for the damage boost, although, as above, it may be good for adventure maps to give normally neutral mobs a hostility for a set amount of time (think, invincible zombie pigman boss that you had to avoid until time runs out),
Without any kind of normal statues, this would just stick out like a sore thumb. And considering the size of the hallways in Nether Fortresses is 3 blocks wide, it means you can just walk around them quite easily. Quite the mouthful there, but i thanks for the feed back and they are all fair points. and i will make corrections to the bombs as i feel now they would be better as potions as you do make a good point that people are less spamful with potions with all the work they are to make.
-and thanks on the spider eye point. i have to fix this.
- a fair point to what u said about the brain would be that most hostile mobs items that are edible cause some effect. i should change that the nausea shouldn't be any longer then 20 seconds or 10.

I think these are interesting ideas. I don't think a bomb is out of place. There's already TNT in the game, and the bomb could look like a black powder bomb.

I think i should at the very least make it less powerful.
on a side note, how about adding stone snakes for Jungle temples. these would be like the more viscous brother of a Silverfish, along with poison effect (and no call for allies). it inhabits the stone directly above the hidden chest to prevent players from cheating their way through the test by digging away the top of the hidden vault.
I like the idea! I will work on a model for it as many of my friends have ruined The jungle temples for me when they just ug through it took the stuff an left.
Personally, I think we should move the Combust out of nether fortresses, as a lot of the interesting things in the nether are in a nether fortress. I don't care for the Sith too much, it's too much like silverfish which are annoying enough, but it wouldn't ruin the game. Also, I'm not sure how the whole village boss thing would work, but I'd like to see more bosses and special events. And finally, the rainbow sheep is the best thing ever. Not too complex but still awesome.

Fair enough, I relooked the sift idea and it did feel just like the silverfish. I feel i need to a something to make them different to them.
Also that's an interesting point on the combusts. If i move them out i think i might make them look more like mounds of netherrack.
I like the idea of the Combust Mob to add to the Nether though as the wither skeletons have been added to the strongholds it feels like if you kept them jsut in the stronghold it wouldn't be good, but having them all over the nether I feel is a great idea, it is like a creeper in hell. The question will be when you are close and the mob detonates will it have that small delay like a creeper does? maybe a shorter time to make you think twice about running close to it.
All the different areas should have a unique mob and the desert doesn't have one. It would be nice if there was one and having it related to the silverfish is a good idea, also silverfish should appear in more places really as unless you try to find the end it feel like you never encounter them. though is they start attacking you when you simply just passing by it could be annoying, maybe if it was you were very close and/or digging near them they jump out and attack. I think Neospector has a good idea with the mob able to inflict the nausea effect on you and like your difficultly level will determine how often the bite will affect the player.
Rainbow sheep, yes. it would be something rare that people would want to go out and get as it is unusual. The rainbow wool suggestion could be a good alternative, I can see some art crafters liking the rainbow wool as well. Plus it is a simple addition to the game, also having the achievement is a good idea for it.
I like the idea for the Giant, though as there is alright the unused like mob called Giant a new name might be needed first. But having something to be a big threat for the village give you more reason to take care and if you need the villagers, battle to save them. The fact that they switch from destroy and chase gives players the chance to save the village in time as well so you know you won't lose the place completely, if the more harder modes the Giant could be set to destroy more than chase or attack so that way you have to be quick to rescue the village in time. I think it could be restricted to only large villages where they have an iron golem to make it like they are trying to protect the village but they won't be enough. In the case of a zombie being struck by lightning that would be good but if it's nowhere near a village then it doesn't seem as much of a threat, but if the player does start getting close it could maybe start to attack the player, or just start attacking if the player angers it.
The potion ideas are good as they give the mobs more meaning in the game and more potions for people to create and experiment with. A potion idea with the Sift's brain could be a potion to cause nausea when drank or splashed, even when splashed on other mobs it will confuse them for a moment before they can chase you again. Achievements are good too as I feel there needs to be more achievements that are not so easy to get as most of the ones already in game. ps: raaaaa
Thanks for your support really.
well, the combusts watch you as you get close. but a detonation time is good for them instead of randomly going off really.
The potion idea is good really. yeah for the achievements, i need to get some more ideas on achievements.
and i must come up with a potion for nausea now~
Update- I changed the Name of the Giants to Goliaths. It will work a lot better for those who go on about the Name of the Giants.
- changed Up the Potions
I'm pretty much good with these. Though I wonder if there could even be something like, mini-giants or something that roam about.
Now I'm thinking there should be also mecha battles or something, but that's getting a little far fetched.
Combusts should have a timer to them like creepers, so you have enough reaction time if you get too close.

Why have this mob?: It adds more to the blazes, Much like Spiders and Skeletons. They also add something to cold Biomes. They are also the opposite to blazes, being stronger but much slower. For combat maps, providing more challenge if added with blazes.
-ITEMS-
Potion Of Nausea
Recipe: Sift Brain
Description: This one is pretty self explanatory. the Sift Brain can be used as a way to finally make Potions of Nausea.
Potion Of Combustion
Recipe: Combustion Fluid + "Potion stuffs~"
Description: The potion will make the drinker or splashed catch fire, and smoke intensely.
BBQ Stand
Wooden BBQ Stand
Crafting Recipe: 4 Sticks, 2 Wood, Coal.

It could also be used in my adventure maps aswell~
Note: The Explosion Should not cause any destruction to blocks.

I can't thank you enough for reading this far, and I beg for your support! That's all to the idea. Please share, and support the idea! Give feedback weather good, or bad to help improve the idea!
Although, I'm not sure about the bomb, since it might be to 'modern' for Minecraft. But all in all, I support!
No argument from me. Except that no, spider jockies are not the only rare mob. Zombies and skeletons now spawn with armor, creepers can be charged, and pigs can turn into zombie pigmen.
For this, I'd have to disagree with how you implemented it. I would much prefer it:
Full time disagree here. I would prefer a splash potion that created smoke particles on contact, though. Mainly my reason against it is adding an item purely for spam purposes. For some reason, though, people tend to use potions less, probably because of the complexity of the brewing system (not a bad thing), so that's why I mentioned potions.
Fermented spider eye is actually the item that "corrupts" and reverses effects on potions (I.E, potion of healing to potion of harming).
And for this I have to disagree, I don't think it would be very useful, even for the damage boost, although, as above, it may be good for adventure maps to give normally neutral mobs a hostility for a set amount of time (think, invincible zombie pigman boss that you had to avoid until time runs out),
[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<
Fair Point it really on the bombs. I think the post about bombs being potions makes more since in which i will edit.
-
I think i should at the very least make it less powerful.
I like the idea! I will work on a model for it as many of my friends have ruined The jungle temples for me when they just ug through it took the stuff an left.
Fair enough, I relooked the sift idea and it did feel just like the silverfish. I feel i need to a something to make them different to them.
Also that's an interesting point on the combusts. If i move them out i think i might make them look more like mounds of netherrack.
Yeah, I just about fixed that up really. tell me what u think of it now~
Thanks for your support really.
well, the combusts watch you as you get close. but a detonation time is good for them instead of randomly going off really.
The potion idea is good really. yeah for the achievements, i need to get some more ideas on achievements.
and i must come up with a potion for nausea now~
- changed Up the Potions
Now I'm thinking there should be also mecha battles or something, but that's getting a little far fetched.
Combusts should have a timer to them like creepers, so you have enough reaction time if you get too close.
Can I ask where you made the mob pictures? They are really quite good, and I am interested in learning how it is done. Is there a specific program?
Oh, and full support, this would be sweet.
Techne its totally free and easy to use~ and i i appreciate the support~
Thank you SO much! I uprated your post, thank you!
Its no problem~ thanks for the up post and i hope to see your stuff and the future and hope u support the post more!
