I have stepped away from the modding community for a little while as work and college have taken precedence. GotoLink has taken over, and is doing wonderful at underping my code.

Hello all! I have completely rewritten from scratch the MysticMods (originally by AxeBane). It has been completely rewritten utilizing Minecraft's Metadata abilities, so instead of using around 30 ID's between all 3 mods, it only uses 5! I am requesting that any bugs found be reported here, as well as requests!
I am seeking a new developer to take over the Mystic Mods (except for MysticWorld, as it never was finished). If you are interested, see the spoiler at the bottom of this post.
Mystic Ores
Description:
Mystic Ores adds 11 new ores to the game, 7 in the overworld and 4 in the nether. These ores are simply to expand upon the tier progression of minecraft's tools and weapons, and have some really nice statistics on them! The Overworld ores are Verdite, Mithril, Adamantine, Iridium, Topaz, Amethyst, Agate and Tourmaline.Verdite generates within Y levels 40 and 70Mithril generates within Y levels 50-68Adamantine generates within Y levels 8-18Iridium generates within Y levels 4-14Topaz, Amethyst, Agate and Tourmaline generate within Y levels 40-60There are also 4 nether ores, those being Bloodstone, Blue Soulstone, Red Soulstone and Black Soulstone. All 4 will generate at any Y level of the nether at any point in the nether, so there really isn't an easy way of finding it, just go exploring for a half an hour and you'll find a decent assortment! Rarity for all ores (overworld and nether) can be tweaked in the config. Reinforced Glass is also added, which is a completely blast-proof glass!

Obsidian Tools:
Mystic Stones adds 7 beautiful new stones to minecraft's world generation, these stones are Anorthosite, Orthogneiss, Slate, Marble, Travertine, Migmatite and Limestone. Upon breaking these (with a normal, non silk touch pickaxe) they drop a cobbled version of themselves which can be smelted into their original, smooth form. This form (as well as the cobbled form) can be used with any wooden plank (even from other mods) to create colored planks, but unliked the cobbled version, the smooth versions can be made into bricks. Additionally, Mystic Stones, when installed alongside Mystic ores, adds Reinforced bricks, which use resources from that mod in their crafting. These bricks are not only blast-proof, but can also be used as beacon bases! There is a configuration option that allows for the lowering of generation for these stones, which I suggest turning on.
Mystic Ruins adds very large and treacherous dungeon mazes underground, as well as various ruins above ground! The ruins underground (from version 1.7 onward) include several challenging mob spawners, those which I'll leave as a surprise for you! These ruins generate randomly and in any biome, and all contain chests with nice loot! There are two tiers of loot, some containing decent goodies, and few containing some very nice items! Additionally, starting from version 1.7 onward, clients connecting to servers with Mystic Ruins will not require Mystic Ruins as it no longer adds custom blocks. Rarity of these ruins can be changed in the configuration file, but I suggest leaving all numbers under 4 or else your world will have difficulty loading! If you'd like to see these ruins in action, I'd suggest watching SOTMead's Apexcraft Let's Play, where Mystic Ruins is installed and are pretty frequently found!
Feel free to refer to this code for your own use if, for example, you didn't know how to do something for your own mod, but under no circumstances will I allow users to take my code, copy it, and release it as my own. You have been warned, if you are uncertain if what you are doing is against my will/the copyright, then I suggest you don't do it, or at least ask me.

Installation:
To install the mystic mods, you must simply install Minecraft Forge (currently I'd suggest version 9.10.0.778 for Minecraft 1.6.2) and drop the Mystic Mod of your choice into the mods folder. You can find the configuration files in /config/Mystic Mods.
Modpacks:
Because my mod is open source, you are free to use my mod in a modpack. However you are required to credit me where credit is due, and failure to do so will lead to a loss in permissions for this use upon first offence. Upon second offense, further action will be taken to ensure you shall never have access to my mod again, but please don't make me go there!
Looking For A New Dev:
I am very sorry to say that I no longer have the time to keep the Mystic Mods updated myself. I have been working a full-time job, recently got a puppy, and have also gotten wrapped up in my fundamental college courses, and have not had the free-time to debug and add to the Mystic Mods. As always, I want to thank anyone who was here with thoughts and suggestions, and for the tons of people who used this mod and didn't give me a hard time about owner rights. If anyone is interested in picking up the code from here, please contact me via personal message. If you were to pick up the Mystic Mods, I would give you access to the direct code instead of through GitHub, and would not expect you to keep up with MysticWorld, as it is overtly complicated and unfinished.
Permissions:
While I do not technically need permissions for the mod itself seeing as it has been 100% rewritten, I asked regardless, and technically the only thing permissions are needed for are the Block and Item images. Without further ado, permissions!
Copyrights:As mentioned, this mod is 100% my code, therefore I declare myself the owner of said mod. On to the copyrights: This mod (plugin, a patch to Minecraft source, the MysticMods henceforth "Mods" or "The Mods"), by the terms of http://www.minecraft.net/copyright.jsp is sole property of the Mod author (oitsjustjose, henceforth "Owner" or "The Owner"). By default it may only be distributed on minecraftforums.net. It may only be mirrored or reposted with advance written permission of the Owner or Maintainer. Electronic Mail is fine if you wait for a response. URL shorteners or other attempts to make money off The Owner's Mod are strictly forbidden without advance written permission[represent]
Hhhhmmm, If I remember correctly, there was one other guy who has updated this!
Oh well...
Can you possibly saw us just how big the ruins are?
With a screenshot or something like that, maybe!?!
Actually, I had updated it before (for 1.4.2) then took it down, and have recently done work with it. As far as ruin sizes, I will be working on great screenshots soon, meanwhile, I suggest you check out the author's original post, they look quite similar.
Yay, I always loved these mods! Grim updates these mods, but a fresh rewrite using metadata is 10x better. If I might make a couple suggestions (I was afraid to make any over on his thread, because it looks like he does only straight ports and no enhancements) :
-Slabs & stairs for the planks/bricks and storage blocks for the gems
-A yellowish variant to round out the color spectrum a bit of the different stones/planks (but a rich enough yellow to not be confused with Birch planks)
-Ability to adjust or even disable the spawnrates of the stones/gems
-ThaumCraft values for everything
My apologies if this all sounds demanding right off the bat. All of these requests save the last one I've been pining for since Axebane dropped it and other people updated it for him. Thanks for the time!

Most of these things were planned, but I like those last 2. I'll take a look @ the thaumcraft API!

Cool, thank you for taking the time to read this! Those are definitely the more important ones for me - mod interfunctionality and customization are the most important thing for me, and asking for extra features in hindsight always gives me a sense of consumer remorse in that I feel I'm biting the hand that feeds, ya know? I'm just happy this is getting a rewrite.. it and SuperSlopes (and Coral Reefs) needed it.

I'm with you there on everything. The stairs and slabs are going to be difficult- you see, I like using metadata (a LOT) and there's really no easy way of doing that seeing as if I wanted 1 metadata value for each plank slab, each color would have to have 2 metadata values (upside down or normal). Stairs get even more complex as there are angles and directions they can be placed at, but I will take a look at the vanilla code, surely it will help.
Sweet! Thanks for updating. I always enjoyed the stones portion of the mod.
It was my pleasure. I very much enjoyed this mod during official release, and felt that it had just a few bugs, so I would do a rewrite to make the best of it!
YAY!
I always wanted these mods but didn't know how to install them! When I learnt how to do it, they where out dated so I couldn't use them!
BTW how do you install?

Install MinecraftForge into the minecraft.jar, then put the .zip file you download into the "mods" folder
Just wanted to let you guys know a bit of progress: added a new yellow stone with all the variations/blocks the other stones have. It is called Travertine as it was the closest thing I could find on the web, HOWEVER if someone has a good name, tell me! Also, I have narrowed down mystic ores to only using 2 block ID's, as well as nerfed soulstone, I felt instead of it dropping multiple items of random chance, it should only drop 1. So now it does. I have also added a few more "advanced" configuration files for ore generation (as well as ruin generation and stone generation), so feel free to play with that (however I give no warranty should you break your PC because you set the Ruin count too high ). This update will break old maps (well, really, it'll only slightly break the nether, if you don't care about your nether, just delete it and regenerate a new one), but I plan on this being the ONLY update to "break" things. It should be out tonight/tomorrow!

Well thanks! Yeah, I've given up on MysticRPG, I simply don't have the time to do all the things I wanted to do with it
