Closet Mod

Compatible with Minecraft 1.5.2
Requires Forge

This mod allows you to easly change your Skin and Cape stored on your pc (internet connection NOT required).

Videos

Read Me:
The default ID for Closet Block is 215 but you can change it editing the "closetmod.properties" file in your ".minecraft" directory.
This file will be created automatically once you start the game for the first time.
You can edit these properties to traduce the GUI buttons in your language:
  • Language_Next (Default "Next" button content)
  • Language_Back (Default "Back" button content)
  • Language_Capes (Default "Capes" button content)
  • Language_Skins (Default "Skins" button content)
  • Language_NoCapeSelected (Default "None" button content)
Rename your Skin e Cape files, those are the names that you'll see ingame.

How To Install:
[Manual] : Move all the files in ClosetMod.rar in your Minecraft.jar archive.
[Magic Luncher] or similar : You have to copy the directory "closetmod/skins" and "closetmod/capes" from ClosetMod.zip to your Minecraft.jar archive anyway (Important)
These two directory will contain your skin and cape files (.png)

Where can i put my cape and skin files?
Download your favorite cape files from the internet and save them in "Minecraft.jar/closetmod/capes".
Do the same thing with your favorite skin files and put them in "Minecraft.jar/closetmod/skins".

ChangeLog :
[Version 2.2]

Would you be able to remodel the block to look like a wardrobe cabinet?
That would be really neat.

Otherwise, great idea! Does it work on LAN or Online/Offline Servers?
I like helping others when it suits me. I also tend to ramble. I try to be nice but there will always be "that guy" who angers me.
If I directed it at you by mistake, I'm sorry. If I offend you, please tell me. I strive to be a good person. I'll help you if you respect me.

Any your suggestions are welcome :)
So are your video review and your comment.
This mod works in single player because you have to store on your local pc the player skin files

huh, I had this idea a while back, glad to see someone putting it to work.
it'd be awesome (as Smtgr14 said) if it had a wardrobe look to it.

Definitely downloading this.

Can you make a online version? That would be so cool. I don't know...instead of putting all the skins inside the .jar, put them into the server folder.
Anyway, loved this mod! I'm going to download it.

There are already mods that allow you to choose the skin online.
I will try to make the mod compatible with forge.
However, soon will release a new version with a better code.

I've tried the mod with forge and it works, however it doesn't on the server.

The skin files must be placed in "%appdata%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar/closetmod/skins/skin_file.png"
or "%appdata%/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar/closetmod/capes/cape_file.png" for capes. Have you installed ModLoader?
