Hello Minecrafters!

  The Server is just over a month old with a really great set of members already. I made this server in the hopes to make a fun and active server with a great community, inspired by mindcrack, who doesnt love and wish they could be part of a community like that? Thats what im trying to accomplish with this server. Im looking for people who will be very active, build nice and original things, and overall better the community and our shared world.



Rules:

• Be active. if you are going to be away for a while please let me know.

• No Stealing.

• No greifing. Pranking is allowed but keep it in good taste. Also leave a sign or some way of knowing who did the prank. no TNT, lava, or fire pranks.

• No modding or hacking allowed.

• Please build a good distance away from the spawn. ( 1000 blocks atleast, even further is encouraged)

• Try to keep the environment looking good, no one likes creeper holes or floating trees on the horizon.

• Be kind and respectful to the other members and myself.

• No PVP unless agreed upon by the other person

• Age 16 +

What do you plan to do/build on the server: I would of course build the essentials such as a house and such but I would also be willing to build or help build some community builds (e.i. Netherhub, Spawn Town etc.). I can also build some farms such as mob xp farm, iron farm, enderman farm, witchfarm etc.

How much will you play: At the very LEAST an hour a day. At most like 5 hours. I may skip a day every now and then too.

Skype: I don't remember it but will give it out in game once I get to know some people.
What do you plan to do/build on this server: I plan to play it strictly as a survival server, building a fortress, or house, and starting a new life online in minecraft. I like the plains, hopefully it will be someone where there are plains and mountains nearby. I hope I like the seed. What I don't want are people using creative mode to splice in diamonds by the dozen. I don't want a town hall and I especially don't want any plugins. Maybe one so you can check who opened what at what time, a block logger, to see who is stealing people's stuff, if at all. I wouldn't mind a load of stone being brought in from creative mode to create, for example, a castle. I am kind of against the idea of a spawn zone, they are typically ugly and just take up space. I plan on building first a wheat farm on a grand scale. Then possibly a chicken farm. And of course a slime farm assuming there are slime chunks within the vicinity of my living quarters. I would like to have a LOT of room to build with so hopeuflly no one will be within at least a bunch of hundreds of blocks.
Anything else you would like to say: I would like to say that I am interested in voice chat for the first time over the internet. I am very fast at typing and I am yearning to play minecraft. I haven't played since version 1.1. Last but not least as I said before I am interested in voice chat but more interested in making friends to play this game with online. Thank you for your time.

I'm one of the current server members (one of the coolest, too). I can really vouch for excellent community and the overall niceness of the server. It just has a very secure, comfortable feel to it. Everybody talks, and we all know each other, it's brilliant. Having a few more members would be great, as I feel our nice little server could easily welcome a few more friendly faces.

I'm not entirely sure that this is a good thing to do. By the time we get 2 pages of applications most of the people that have already applied will have gotten so tired of waiting that they went off to find another server and forgotten about this one entirely. I'm also not seeing the benefit of waiting for more people to apply before you accept those that have already applied; unless of course you only plan on adding like 10 people and never adding anymore. I'm just saying if I have to wait much longer I'm just going to find some other server, so a time frame would be good, you said Sunday on the original post -.-

What do you plan to do/build on this server: I plan to do all the assortments of traps and such, I will do some redstone, a little bit of aesthetics. (and bushes) I know about mob mechanics, so mob grinders are easy to make. I have yet to make a witch farm, but I am eager to make one.  My favorite blocks are sandstone, stone brick, lapiz, leaves, and all types of wood/logs.(I am always willing to take generous donations) Once I get a base running, I will be willing to do things for other people, like give out to those in need of certain items (Example: crops, cobble, ect.)

Anything else you would like to say: I look forward to seeing you all and I have little doubt that this is a wonderful community. I'm actually glad that you may be the only person actually turning down the applications that were not up-to-standard because, no offense, I value virtue and writing, which most applications don't cut these days and only take a minute to fill out and have no feeling in them whatsoever. (sorry to yall who got declined)

Hello everyone, I'm sicmap and one of the members of the Strange World server.
I know some of you think that waiting for 2 pages is not worth it and you might as well apply for a different server, as snirt mentioned earlier...

So what's the point of waiting? It's easy, the server is awexome...yes, awesome with an "x" that's how amazing it is. I got the warmest welcomes as I joined by the nicest people I've met. We are spending long nights talking through skype and messing around with stuff. Trowing parties and pranks, sharing laughs, who wouldn't like to experience that?. I never regret even a second I spend on the server.

The waiting will pay off and I'm sure mass has his reasons, he is a man with a plan.

While you wait you could try catching one of your friends so he can also try applying to the server. Starting off with a buddy could make it even more enjoyable ...or you could try making your current application better, there is always time to make it better.
