Ive been playing minecraft for a while now, but had recently converted my server pc to my main desktop.  after adding a vidio card and some more ram I decided to try and start up minecraft. After the login screen the window just blacks out then eventuely closes.

Ive tried opening tekkit, saddly the same thing happned but only with a white screen. I have posted my error logs in both places and noone can seem to help.

I am running windows 7 (64), java 7, my video card drivers are up to date, my antivirus is avast and as far as I can tell not interfering with this program, i have ran a ram test all of my sticks have passed with no errors.
If anyone can please help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

That's pointing to the OpenGL part of your video card drivers, although you said they were updated, so I'm not really sure...

The Advanced Minecraft error test, shows the driver version, they aren't updated.
You need to use the drivers from the AMD site rather then the drivers you get through windows update/device manager.
Microsoft doesn't provide OpenGL support with the drivers they distribute.

This is just a confusing post, from reading everything I have had the same thing happen to my old computer, black screen, and a bad video card driver. If you can I recommend using a different computer or asking someone more fit for this kind of situation. - Drucrazy

well, i dont know if this is any help but if your profile is not an admin windows wont let minecraft launch, just run minecraft as administrator and that might work. that took me a very long time to figure out.
