Normally I dislike skyblocks because building floating strucutres is a pain in the ass and Feed The Beast maps because EMC is such an abstracted universal currency that no one material matters. Props to you buddy for solving that second problem enough for me to endure through the first. And keeping the tedium to a minimum.
I think I may have installed this incorrectly, as TMI never popped up and Enchanting Plus would not enchant the Thaumcraft enchants. Reading other accounts of the four trials teleport not working made me search for the coordinates to teleport towards, and that fix worked fine. One quest that requires a potion of harming only accepts potions made a specific way when there are multiple ways of making said potion.
Frustrating parts have mostly been covered already, like sand/cactus taking a good while and nodes being difficult to integrate. The NPC mod doesn't seem to allow shift-clicking for trading so 1 to 1 resources like smoothstone to dirt take a ton of clicking to go through. Higher ratio trades, like 4 smoothstone/bricks to 4 dirt, would be nice to have. Discovering specific Thaumcraft items can be difficult, like trying to research golems and never getting that theory to pop up until you research every single other discovery that uses those aspects. Quests to get specific discoveries like golems would be nice.
I'm only pointing out the technical issues and frustrations first because I know you need that most. Every other aspect of this map was a joy to go through. Here on out is just how I approached different parts of the map. Due to the way I built my roads I never had to make a mob grinder, picking up the remains every morning provided me with a chest full of resources I never had to use. The nether shot shows my poor mans pig grinder, just wailing away at a crowd of pigmen through a barricade with a looting sword for all my gold. Good times when I forgot that the silverwood trees I spawned earlier made a node I never sealed after melting down swords into nuggets. Blazes took a few deaths while I built a platform around them, but I never needed many rods as blaze powder can be farmed with a fortune tool and the thaumcraft flower that drops it. Something about the quest system is a hit because every time I completed a Gnollboss quest I checked every other NPC for more quests to complete.
I really hope you make another one, this was a blast to finish.

I think I learned a lot in making this map, and certain issues of balance, speed, and convenience will probably be the primary concerns should I ever make a sequel. I made a few various tweaks after release, such as rebalancing cactus and moving some trades to work with full stacks instead of single units, as well as increasing the value of most things you could sell, since pumpkins really dominated compared to how much some others were worth.
I want to take another swing at it but I'm not entirely sure what the best way to set it apart from this one would be. After all, it is meant to primarily be a Skyblock map, just with various bells and whistles to make it a little more motivating.

These videos are fantastic! Even though it was in Portuguese, the dialog, the action, editing, and opening kept me watching. I could not understand the dialog for the most part, but I still understood what was happening and how you reacted and bits and pieces ('cuidado' around the edges, for example) - and certain parts can be understood in any language ("WOW", "YES!")
I love the introduction you created, with the meteor, and the plaer's white hometown. Even when the camera flies around the Sky Den. I'm enjoying these videos for their dramatic nature, and I know I will enjoy the rest as well.
I know it would be asking a lot, especially if you don't still have the footage, but how do you feel about making a video of just the introduction, perhaps with no text, or alternately, with English text? The sequence with the meteor and the destruction and the beacon were so well done they made me wish I had put something like that in myself.

Glad you liked. That opening was done mostly to justify why the main character in the map's banner is purely white - I will use that picture once I finish the series.
I can do a separate opening, sure. Will take some time as my machine is busy rendering right now, but will do as soon as I can.
I knew that art style looked familiar! I've been a fan of your storytelling for some time, but stumbled on this map as a happy accident. I'm glad too... this has been the most fun I've had on a skyblock survival map in some time. You've managed to removed a lot of the tedium, which helps shift focus to the creation side of the game, building your own little floating world. The map's limitations help inspire creativity too, and adding in some light adventure and story elements to help flesh out the experience makes it even better. I'll give this a proper critical review once we're wrapped up, but I'm really enjoying what I've played so far. I'd definitely be interested in any future maps you put together too. Heck, if you get the wild hair to do something ambitious, I can throw a few good builders and redstone people, and even a decent Forge modder, your way. I'd love to see what you can do.

Hey help me guys i moved on through the mission to the rite of magic.I have all 3 items the staff the potion and the ghast tear and i talk to the questgiver and he isnt counting in the potion

You turn in the Rite of Magic to the Arcanist, not the Gnollboss. It's the only quest that you turn in to a different person than the one who gave you the quest.
If that still isn't working, someone mentioned that there are two ways to make the potion he asked for, and only one will be accepted. If he won't accept the potion you made, try using Not Enough Items or some other method to give yourself one of the potions for free, and he should accept that.

You can use the crucible with fire as well as lava, so try putting netherrack two blocks under it, then lighting the netherrack with flint and steel.
Thanks, I just suicided into the lava in the nether and grabbed a bucket. Great map was so sad when I beat it, it's actually rather short once you get your footing and basic resources

Ok, so I think I've either got some other mod deciding to mangle stuff (it probably happened, I did use the FTB DireWolf20 pack as my base, and added the couple extra mods thereafter), but I'm seeing things not right.
The box marked 'Take this for coming in', had a wrath igniter and blulectic engine instead of timer and screwdriver the book mentioned, and the isle with the inactive portals has a bunch of alloy furnaces where it should have cut blocks... The little village with the anvil and chanting table is mostly these alloy furnaces too, and there is a bunch of ore being used where I suspect isn't supposed to be ore...
time to check with a more vanilla install...

forest1538: I'm not sure what's causing the error. It looks like it could be a redpower conflict with one of the other mods you have installed, or Forge ModLoader might not be up to date in terms of compatibility.
There are lots of things you could try. You could reinstall from scratch, installing the latest FML first.
The simplest solution if you're pressed for time is to download the Plus+ Pack Launcher and choose Sky Den from that. It will automatically install and run it for you with no mess, no errors.

It sounds like a simple ID conflict. I don't use FtB, but I imagine that its assigned IDs are different. Therefore when Minecraft gives your mods a number and says "it's this item", your installation thinks that number means a different item. Try with a more minimal installation.

The box marked 'Take this for coming in', had a wrath igniter and blulectic engine instead of timer and screwdriver the book mentioned, and the isle with the inactive portals has a bunch of alloy furnaces where it should have cut blocks... The little village with the anvil and chanting table is mostly these alloy furnaces too, and there is a bunch of ore being used where I suspect isn't supposed to be ore...
time to check with a more vanilla install...

There are lots of things you could try. You could reinstall from scratch, installing the latest FML first.
The simplest solution if you're pressed for time is to download the Plus+ Pack Launcher and choose Sky Den from that. It will automatically install and run it for you with no mess, no errors.

It sounds like a simple ID conflict. I don't use FtB, but I imagine that its assigned IDs are different. Therefore when Minecraft gives your mods a number and says "it's this item", your installation thinks that number means a different item. Try with a more minimal installation.
