"Sure, I'd be willing to help you... and no, I haven't heard of your brother. I'm not from around these parts.", Rio replied. "If you ever get injured on the mission, I'm a doctor, I'll be ready to help."

"Well, that's sure to come in handy!" I say to Rio... who still hasn't climbed up the ladder, for whatever reason. I hear Charlie shout something at me, and accidentally let out a squawk. I then notice what I've done, and start to run off, hoping that nobody hear that. Charlie just stands there, confused... "I thought that was my line..." he says, still wondering what just happened.

"Whoa, Birch, wait up!", Rio called out, chasing after him. What was that about?

[Lugia]

I hear Rio call me as I run, and stop in my tracks... might as well either come clean, or try (and most likely fail) to make up a lie. I then stand there and wait... I could always at least try, first, and then come clean if he doesn't believe me... I think as I try to concoct something to say if he asks what the, er, bird noise was all about... How couldn't he be confused about it? After all, the only bird in the guild is Charlie... and he was yelling, not squawking. I then think as I sit down, finally having come up with something to say.

"Yo, Birch, uhh... what was that about?", asked Rio once he caught up. "First you made a bird noise, then you randomly just panicked and ran off..."

[Lugia]

"Heh, well, I was just embarrased... Chatot must be rubbing off on me, or something... I mean, I have been in the guild for all too long, right?" I say to Rio, though, it's kinda obvious that it's not the truth, as I said it with a nervous look on my face. I then think Man... I hope he doesn't find out I'm lying... after all, I'm not the best actor in the world... I think I sounded nervous when I said that, too... ugh... I try to smile, and wait for his response.

[Enorym]

"Birch... There's no chance in Hell that even the dumbest man would fall for a lie like that.", said Rio.

[Lugia]

"Eh... figured as much... okay, fine, I'll come clean. I, er, may... technically be Moltres..." I say to Rio, this time, it was the truth, though... I may want to hold back on the fact that I went through a door that only that bird could go through... or, maybe hold off on the fact atht the thing doesn't attack me... ever.

[Enorym]

"Erm... I probably should have asked sooner, but what is a Moltres?", asked Rio. Apparently, he had no knowledge of the birds, and didn't make the connection that the flaming bird he saw earlier was indeed Moltres.

[Lugia]

I sigh, and point up towards Moltres, who was, at this time, happily burning Mareep and Zigzagoon in Sunswept plains. "That's me... kidna, as in, that's the body that I'm supposed to be in." I then say to Rio. Afterwards, adding "However, someone made that one a soulless husk, and, well... here I am, born from that mess." I then lower my head, and start walking off, saying "If you don't want to help me because of what Moltres has done to hundreds of pokémon, worldwide, then, fine... I'd understand."

Rio put his hand on Birch's shoulder. "I'm not going to turn back, Birch. Not now. The 'soulless husk' flying over there is not your fault. We need to find who did this. I've been through a lot, Birch. My hometown was destroyed in a bandit raid and I'm being followed by a ghost, potentially more than one. Of course there's bad things in the world, of course there's darkness. But in the end, even darkness must pass. More than that, there is still some good left in this world. You are going on missions and helping people, Birch. That's enough proof." Rio sighed. "You said that I could go, that I could turn back. Remember the great stories? The ones that meant something? The heros had plenty of chances of turning back. Only they didn't. They kept going, because they were holding on to something... they were holding on to the good left in the world, and the good left in the world is worth fighting for. You are going on missions, helping and saving people, and doing the world justice. There is no chance in Hell I'm turning back now. I'm coming with you, Birch Oran, and you can't stop me!"

"Well... alright then, let's go!" I say to Rio as I start to cheer up. I then look at the mission statement, trying to remember where we were supposed to go... "Ah... that's right, we're supposed to be headed off to the Distant Desert, uh, it's... erm..." I say, apparently not very good with directions. I then start walking over towards Foggy ruins, thinking it would be there... ((Hint, you may want to correct me, lol, last time I did this, I ended up lost until someone foudn the Defog HM.))

"Umm... You're headed the wrong way. The Distant Desert is in that direction.", said Rio, pointing. "My hometown was in the Distant Desert... *ahem* err... So what is the mission exactly?"

[Lugia]

"Oh, the mission... right, erm, there's a torchick there who got himself caught by a supposedly evil druddigon... know anything about this?" I say to Rio as I change my direction... apparently, he'd have the homefeild advantage, there... heh, someone had to... I then start to run in that direction, saying "Come on, I'll split the reward with ya!"

[Enorym]

"Much appreciated, Birch!", called Rio, trying to keep up with him.

Bio: A young Pokemon leading Team Shock. A team of young Pokemon who want to help the world. Team Shock is always up for a good battle as well. The other Pokemon in Team Shock is a Pichu named Corey and an Elekid named Ace. Just beacuse Team Shock is built on Electric-Type Pokemon does not mean that other types cannot join. Benny is very feisty and is often rude around others, though he wil apologize later. He is a forgiving Pokemon and loves making new friends. His mother who was a Manectric was killed when a Tyranitar attacked them. He dreams of one day finding the Pokemon that killed his mother and get his revenge! Benny also likes eating Chesto Berries.

We finally make it to the Distant Desert, and are instantly greeted by an angry Sandile, who decided to attack me using Bite. I take the attack, and counter with Energy Ball, dealing enough damage for the Sandile to want to flee. "Heh, feels good to use grass-type moves.. as if I was just... you know, normal." I then say to Rio, knowing that he wasn't too far from this.
