Dimensional Doors
for Minecraft.
This mod adds doors to Minecraft that open up to individual pocket Dimensions. In addition to these doors, it also adds several other features that help the player manipulate reality, forming rifts, linking dimensions, and even sending him to places he really should have never been.
Update 1.3.6 updates to minecraft version 1.5.2, and fixes a few more issues. Rift sigs finally remember orientation right, limbo generates a platform under the player on exit, and some under the hood stuff. Thank Skuli for doing the 1.5.2 obfuscation and renaming stuff!
Previous Updates-
Update 1.3.5 vastly improves server performance, both from a technical and user end. The biggest changes happened with Wooden door placement mechanics- Now, doors will no longer reappear in the exact corresponding coordinates in the overworld. Instead, they will search upwards for an unoccupied space to spawn in.
The rift blade can no longer be used to break unbreakable blocks, and placing a door on a rift by directly clicking on the rift wont replace blocks either.
Rift blade generates two doors, one on each side to prevent it from trapping people.
Finally fixed issues where using a wooden warp door to re-enter the overworld could spawn the player in the ground. (though it can spawn you in caves now!)
Rift signatures now remember placement orientation, so when you click a rift sig, the door that gens there (if you ever gen one) will be facing towards where you clicked from. Should stop them from having derpy orientation at first.
Update 1.3.4 build 53- fixes doors crashing with villagers riding minecarts in specific setups.
Update 1.3.4 Fixed several bugs, and improved the handling of inventory in limbo. Rift sigs render properly on servers and the tooltip is more helpful. Slightly adjusted spawning of dungeon entrances, shouldnt spawn in trees now. Door placement functionality improved- you can now place the door on top of the rift by just clicking the rift in the air.
Update 1.3.3 Updated for 1.5.1 finally!! Also fixed an issue with chaos doors, but minecarts are still behaving oddly. Otherwise, seems as bugfree as my releases get. Also, reverted to old textures for the time being. EIDT- Fixed NEI bug and changed how doors work with rifts. Now, you can just click the door on the rift!
Update 1.3.1 finally fixes the limbo exit bug, and hopefully !!actually!! the mob spawning issues. 1.5.1 is almost finished, too.
Update 1.3.0 lets doors teleport any entity including items, mobs, and minecarts. It also adds a charge function to the rift blade that lets the player make a quick jump through a pocket dim. Also finally added several server commands. After a day or two, ill release for 1.5.1.
Updates 1.2.1 & 1.2.2 are very minor bug fixes.
Update 1.2.0 brings a massive overhaul of the naturally generating rift system and the dungeons they lead to. Now, finding a rift in the world can lead to a never-ending maze of tunnels, galleys, shattered ruins, and devious traps. This dimensional latticework spans all other dimensions, connecting vast distances and containing valuable treasure.
Update 1.1.1 fixes several bugs, rebalances enderman spawning, prevents runaway rift multiplication.
Update 1.1.0 features a new Door type, the Unstable Door. It also adds a visual effect to the doors, and adds Limbo, a completely new dimension. Details, download, and crafting below.

New Dungeons-
You know I am excited about something if I make an entire spoiler just to show it off. In addition to the black rifts you are farmiliar with, you can now find this structure-

Its a bit easier to see from a distance, but its still pretty rare. Either way, all the rifts in the world lead to dungeons, like before, except in this update, those dungeons contain more Dimensional Doors! Some are strange, alien structures, while others seem like a peice of home. Maybe a bit too much like a peice of home...

Some are ruins, left behind in a timeless void, while others are still alive, briming with deadly activity.

Explore these forgotten ways at your own peril, as Limbo is just one wrong move away.
How To- (Video coming soon)

Iron Dimensional Door ------
The Iron Dimensional Door, when placed, creates a pocket dimension contained within zero space. Entering the door teleports the player to this strange world where the fabric of reality is laid bare, exposed and raw. More IDDs can be placed within the original pocket dimension, creating more, and this can be continued indefinitely. Each pocket created leads the player farther and farther from the light of the overworld.

Wooden Warp Door ------
The Wooden Warp Door creates a pocket dimension like the IDD, but this pocket dim is closer to the overworld rather than farther away. Eventually, placing enough WWDs will warp the player back to the overworld. Be warned, though, if you went to many dimensions down, you may arrive at a completely different location. Also, they do not create dimensions in the overworld.

Trans-Dimensional Trapdoor ------
The Trans-Dimensional Trapdoor acts as escape hatch, teleporting the player to whatever door first opened the pocket dim chain. Regardless of where the player places the hatch, it always sends the player to the opening of that group, unless they have ventured more that 6~8 iron doors down, away from the overworld. Then, the hatch has trouble finding the right way out.

Unstable Door------
This unique door does not link to a rift or create a pocket- instead, it randomly teleports the player to any rift, anywhere, not in a pocket dimension. It does not create a return door.

Combining these various doors within the pockets allows an infinite variety of structures, built in between worlds, and linking them all together.
Rifts ------
The use of doors, however, destabilizes and weakens space-time nearby. These unstable, pulsing tears in reality are called Rifts. A rift represents a weakening in reality, and "points" to a specific location, whether that be a pocket dimension, another place in the overworld, or even in the Nether. Sometimes the destination of a rift will have another rift that leads back, sometimes they do not. Regardless, placing a Dimensional Door over a rift will open a passage to whatever is on the other side.
They are created in several ways- A dimensional door, when placed, creates a rift at that location. The door also "contains" said rift. They appear randomly in the world, and when grouped together, they can spread. When naturally generated, they often contain dungeons and other ruins. To further manipulate these rifts, you also have the Rift Signature and the Rift Remover. But be warned- several rifts in close proximity have a tendency to spread, and endermen have been know to use these rifts to enter from the end...

Rift Signature------
The Rift Signature is the basic rift manipulation item. It allows the player to link any two locations, anywhere, by creating a pair of rifts. To use it, first click block where you want a door to be, then click another block where you want the door to lead to. The second click will consume the rift signature, and create a link between these two locations. Placing a Dim Door (wooden or iron, not unstable) on this rift will teleport the player to the other end of the rift, creating a door there as well.

Rift Remover ------
The Rift Remover, while expensive, is the only way to permanently eliminate Rifts. When activated near a rift, it closes that rift and propagates to other nearby rifts, closing all nearby Rifts that are currently interacting. It can be used several times before degrading completely.

Rift Blade------
New in version 1.2.0, this weapon has 3 abilities. In combat, right clicking on an entity from a few blocks away will teleport the weilder just within striking range, allowing for quick hit and run attacks. You can even time the blinks to dodge skeleton arrows by warping through them!
As a utility tool, it allows the player to right click an already placed DimDoor and rotate it, alteranting between facing towards and away from the player. This will fix any orientation bugs already present by updating the link.
As an exploration aid, it will allow the player to right click on rifts, either on the rift itself or on the block under it. Doing so will create a temporary door good for a single use, after which it will vanish and revert to its original rift state.

Limbo------
Occasionally, something can go wrong. Sometimes in your travels, you will slip out of what is and enter the place of what should not. Limbo is a dreary space of cast of worlds and broken realities, and the only way to escape is to venture down deeper in Limbo, until you find the black voids near the bottom. Touching these will teleport the player back to the overworld, but at an entirely random location. Dying in a pocket dimension is a sure fire way of being sent to to Limbo, in addtion to overusing an Unstable Door.
