Does appraised have a meaning I don't know, or is this a typo?
Yeah, that jumped out at me instantly too. The intended term is most likely "apprised." Unless good old Sacheverell has become rather judgmental as of late.

My favorite numbers are 46 and 259. Internets to those who understand the previous statement. >:3
I wish they would add options to enable things like caves and buckets of water/lava that would normally cause performance issues so that people with powerful devices could enable them and people with low-end devices could still play lag-free.
I'm ok without caves. I would have been happy, as long as it had creative and the full block set. I rather be creative on the go and do survival on the PC.

Maybe whoever wrote this doesn't speak English as a first language. This is the Internet. Where people from all countries go to share and find information. They even come from countries where the majority of people don't speak English.

You do know Notch made the original netherportal design right?
*FacePalm*
This is the pocket Edition version. Either you have no clue what I am talking about, or your stupidity is showing.
Notch did not create the Nether for the pocket edition, it is completely different in comparison to the PC. In PE, it's a block that you place that generates a small obsidian square, in which you get random items, and fight Zombie Pigmen.
And if you didn't know, Notch is no longer working on Minecraft.
I don't understand why they are updating unnecessary things like stairs which only people in creative really use? They should be adding things like caves, different world generations, a few new biomes, bigger worlds more crafting and that sort of thing. And don't say it can't work, Minebuilder did it and the new 5th generation ios devices (and the Samsung S3 and Tab 2) can handle the sort of thing in there full retina/hd displays with no lag. They work extremely well. I know that when I had Minebuilder on my 4th Generation devices and my really bad quality samsung phone (early android device) that I didn't suffer from lag (on my phone I suffer lag from unlocking the device sometimes) and they are considerably weak compared to the newer devices. Jeb keeps taking Minecraft into the wrong direction, Jeb is moving it into more a creative game rather than a survival/creative game (which after all is why it is famous).

He's said that there will be an option for caves. And who doiesnt like creative, plus a bunch of things is also being added for survival as well, such as armor in these update, and signs.

But Jeb still needs to re-code the follies of DinnerBone, like that hideous Nether portal and whatnot.

You only use stairs in Creative? What kind of player are you?
