You have the workings of a nice looking pack Sam. It has a sort of illustrative feel to it that gives it a memorable look and some nice styling and texture styles that give it charm.
OP layout works great its clean, presentable and organized so no issues there
You can always download now and just keep up with the updates.
Thanks for the support, but I'm not monetizing the downloads (not yet, anyways), so it doesn't really matter to me whether he downloads or not, as long as he took the time to look
You should lighten it up a bit. It's way too dark.
Well it is his pack and the shade is his desicion. Perhaps you should phrase that diffrently like "You might want to lighten it a bit for this reason *******. I feel that is somewhat dark, unless that was what you were going for."
Finally got something finished! All Nether blocks are now added! Includes randomized quartz ore! Also added what I think to be the most epic ReadMe.txt written by man.
Major bugfixes in the CTM department. Noticed today while playing on the pack for the first time for real that some things were not right. All of those should be fixed now!
Crop and crop related things will be coming out within the next few weeks. A few more textures to finish up and some CTM shenanigans to work out.
I need some opinions form other users. The iron ore that I have in the pack now is almost invisible on the stone (another thing I noticed while playing). What I'd like to know is, does this pose any sort of hindrance to gameplay to you guys? If so, I can change it. I'm not sure.
Since this is your first post I can presume that you made a whole new account just to say that?
On the topic of texturepacks though, this is amazing. I really like it. But while I was looking at screenshots all I could seem to think was 'SO MANY SPOILERS!!!'
Really nice though. Keep it up.
Thanks! And yes, I may have gone a little overboard with the spoilers, but you must admit, they are pretty darn organized
Finally got all the crops finished! I must say, it has been a journey. Some new screenshots, and some new features. All farmable things are done, including carrots and potatoes. Also added all leaves, and snow. Sadly, I've been having some trouble wit my computer, so the 1.4.7 version does not have the new textures, but the 13w10b version is ready to go!
Made some small changes to the thread, in and around the Legal and Support sections. I seem to be experiencing a bug around those areas, so if anyone can comment with anything that they see amiss, that'd be great. Fixed!
Fancy Shmancy is now available on Planet Minecraft here. Check it out if you want to, although seeing as you're already here, there doesn't seem to be a reason for you to do that.
A few comments, just from the pics in the thread (haven't downloaded it yet). These are, of course, based largely on my own personal preferences, so take them or leave them.
Empty spoiler tags are just a tease Just put "coming soon" by itself instead of a spoiler tag with "coming soon" inside it
Some of your screenshots are kind of dark. Not sure if that makes them an accurate reflection of the textures, or just taken at night. The nether fortress pics, especially, are nearly impossible to see.
I really like the wood logs, they are well-done and distinctive
The plank texture is very good (and has much improved as I scroll through the thread), but I'm a sucker for packs that use different style of planks for the 4 different wood types (thinner or thicker planks, or different orientation, or my favorite, Misa's spruce planks that look like a bunch of hefty square posts all bolted together). Just something to think about if you are inspired, or if you already had different styles you couldn't decide between.
The 4 different colors of planks aren't very distinctive, I'd have trouble telling them apart if they weren't side-by-side. Maybe a slightly lighter birch and a slightly redder jungle? (This could be just a dark pic, not sure. Actually, looking down at the pumpkin pic, I can definitely tell the difference in that one.)
I think this was already mentioned, you've got some tiling issues on your snow tops.
The metal rivets/nails in the fenceposts are distinctive and well done!
So, the pic with the iron bars, is that all stone brick? The cracked stone brick looks a bit too... not sure how to describe it? Too many cracks, I think, the cracks fills up too much of the square, and doesn't really blend in with the stone brick (similar to the mossy cobble problem below). And what is that diamond thingie?
The next pic, is that a mix of stone, cobblestone, and stone bricks? The "layered stone" is kind of an interesting look for what we normally describe as "smooth stone", I'm not quite sure what I think about it. Would a cave filled with stone and ore look natural, or like it was constructed?
I think someone else mentioned this, but the mossy cobble is too mossy Don't cover every rock.
I see what you were going for with the tilled farmland, but it looks a bit like wooden planks
Dirt seems kinda rough, almost like "cobble-dirt". I'd have to see the sides of a grass block, I guess.
Plants look very nice!
Soul sand is very nice, lives up to its name!
Are those little white specs Nether Quartz Ore? That's pretty subtle, not sure I would notice that. Nice randomization, though.
I like the glowstone, although you might mix it up and do something stylistically different for the redstone lamp, instead of just using the same pattern.
Does your wooden door match your oak planks? Looks kinda greenish.
Hope you will be encouraged and not discouraged by all my feedback. I will download what you have so far and try it out!

I found your comments to be quite interesting, and shall address them all one-by-one.
I have my thread all pre-written out in a text file, with spaces for everything, so I like to keep areas for future stuff open. However, you are correct, empty spoilers are meaningless. How do people know whether there is anything there or not? I will fix this.
The pack is overall very dark, so there's not much I can do, but the Nether Fortress screenshot does seem rather dark, especially if you don't have your screen brightness set to "blinding" like I normally do. Will take some better ones, I promise.
I'm a very lazy builder, so I often have more than one type of plank making up the same wall or floor, therefore I tried to make the planks blend into each other as much as possible to try to negate the kind of two-toned effect. From your comment, it seems I have succeeded in that endeavor, though now I'm realizing that it wasn't really that good of an idea after all. I'll definitely go back and redo them at some point, but right now it's not a very high priority.
With the snow tops, I was trying to go for a bit of a wavy, drifted look. It didn't work out too well, but I can probably fix it with some CTM wizardry.
Thank you!
Those are all stone bricks. I have the regular stone bricks randomized to have variations with some cracks or moss, and I like those ones. It's the actual cracked stone bricks and mossy stone bricks that I don't like. The seem a little overdone, no? I might end up cannibalizing some of the random variations for those. The "diamond-y thing" is the carved stone brick. The only time I've ever seen it used is as a mounting point for buttons and levers and such, so that's what I went with.
That picture has a mixture of stone, stone bricks, and gravel. I've never been completely satisfied with that gravel, but I think it looks okay. I modeled the stone after the layered, cracked stone of the glacial plains where I live. I though it looked kind of weird for the top and bottom, so I fixed a smoother texture for those parts (the pic after the mob spawner). I can see that that will need some more smoothing out, maybe some randomization to break up the pattern.
I don't have any pics of it, but I've now got some CTM to make the edges of the mossy stone stand out a little less. I've been meaning to revisit the whole cobblestone deal altogether, but I've kind of fallen in love with it after playing with it for a while.
That is exactly what I thought when I finished it. It needs some work.
I like it, though. Clumpy things are kind of my style.
Thank you!
Thank you! That's one of my favorites.
Yes, that's nether quartz. I've tried it out in-game, and they're pretty noticeable against that dull red.
I was thinking something similar. What with CTM supporting biome control on textures now, I might make the glowstone appear as it is in the nether, and have the current redstone lamp texture be the glowstone for the overworld, and then make something completely different for the redstone lamp.
They style that I used to make them is the same, although the colors are a little different. When I do end up remaking the wood, I'll make the door fit in a little better.
Thanks for all the feedback! It was definitely helpful. It's always good to hear some honest criticism.
After downloading and viewing it the cobble dosen't really match the smooth stone in brightness either the stone is too dark or the cobble is to light.

I've been wondering what to do about that. I actually really like the cobblestone, but you're right, it doesn't match the smooth stone. I might try darkening it a little bit, but that would involve a lot of work (redoing the mossy cobblestone and its CTM). I'm just not sure.
So I think you said this in an earlier post, but does the 1.4.7 version contain all the latest updates?
I've downloaded it, and there are some glitched textures that show as transparent (diamond ore, birch planks, coal ore).
A few further thoughts:
I think the problem with the gravel is that it is too close to the cobblestone (just slightly smaller nuggets, very similar shade). Needs to be more distinct.
Seeing them in place, I do like the netheract, and the nether brick. Just need some better screenshots of them.

Oh yes, I love me some adjectives.
Nether blocks and crops are coming soon, possibly this weekend. There are a few pesky little details that I still have to work out.
EDIT: Sorry if I've become a bit of a bump-aholic recently. I got a little carried away.

Terrain is 23% complete, not including CTM and the stuff I haven't added to the public version yet.
