hey machinemuse, ive been playing around with your mod for the last couple of days and found that its extremely awesome, im only running it with the basic universal electricity stuff and something seems to be going wrong with my charging of the armour pieces. im not sure if this has already been sorted but when my battery box is full at 4.99mj i put my armour in which currently has 100kj storage and it zaps about 2mj out of my battery box, im not sure if its something with conversion rates or something else, but its really starting to bug me a lil

First, please, use spoilers. I've done it for you for the sake of sanity.
Furthermore, although it looks like you've set things up properly (at least with regards to MPS and forge), you need to be aware that the dev builds are experimental, and not recommended. Use them at your own risk, and if they don't work, don't be upset. Recommeded versions are recommended for a reason, and whe nthe next rec build rolls out, feel free to use it.
In essence, don't use dev builds if you don't know what you're doing.

right spoilers, out of practice.......
also, not upset at all; just thought i'd let Machine Muse know. And yes i follow this topic(among others) so i see the "dev builds and dev for a reason...." thing a lot and i understand that, but that glowy armor looks insane. btw i've used dev builds before and i usually use FTB and this crash happened on regular minecraft so i really have nothing to fret about.
I can't seem to get the UE recipes to work using the newest versions of both mods/sets of mods. I am guessing because Basic components is now integrated into the other UE mods and so Powersuits is not detecting it. Any one know of a way around this? I don't like using the ThermalExpansion recipes, they are a bit to easy for my tastes.

Same problem here. I changed the config to UE recipes as "true" but it did not change anything in game.
Interestingly, Galacticraft has sensor glasses that highlight certain mobs (not all mobs) with a green tint in the darkness. That's another reason I use both mods together.
For the latest dev build, is there no glow module? and apparently (according to MM's twitter) there was a jetpack model that was implemented but i'm not able to get it to work??? I got the MPSA installed as well. I'm so annoyed because the glow and jet model looks soooo cool!
press L you twit
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it, but the way those atoms are put together.
Hello, I'm getting a conflict between Modular Power Suits and NEI that is preventing the F7 (mob spawns) and F9 (chunk boundries) functionality from working.
Steps to duplicate:
Fresh Minecraft install using MultiMC
Install mods except for MPS - NEI functionality works
Install MPS - F7 and F9 does not activate NEI functions.
Same problem here. I changed the config to UE recipes as "true" but it did not change anything in game.
It's not going to work because there are checks in place to make sure it only looks for items that exist in game. If you wanted to "force" it to work, you'd edit this line (just make it "return true;" instead):
and recompile the mod. Pretty easy and straightforward if you know any coding. That said, that doesn't solve all of the problems you will have.
Fundamentally, I've found UE to be broken with many mods because they merged Basic Components with all of the other mods. I play hardcore with these mods and I ran into several issues (couldn't craft certain critical items, such as steel, to progress). The "fix" I settled on is to use Basic Components v1.3.2.79. You'll run into minor issues (for instance, if you use NEI, you'll see duplicates of certain items like mainboards that are called "unnamed") but it works and I've nearly played through an entire game without game-breaking issues.
---
So TL;DR: Install the old version of Basic Components.
--
I continued out of curiosity. I have a fix for myself, but in case you ever decide to work on it (since I'm sure as hell not opening a pull request and making your job easy), SlickFont.getStringWidth > MuseRenderer.getStringWidth > ClickableButton constructor > ClickableKeybinding constructor > KeybindManager.readInKeybinds probably shouldn't be called before the main screen GUI is launched.
Take care.
--
FYI if anyone runs into graphical glitches/that error mentioned in the bug report while running Powersuits, it would have been fixed but she's hostile towards potential contributors.
Just as an aside, perhaps no one should contribute to this project. Personally, I'm uninstalling it and never using Clair's mods again because of her unbelievably and unnecessarily rude behavior towards everyone. Maybe I could understand if she was just being rude to people demanding things from her, but I certainly wasn't.
I hope you use mouse to play. So:
1) In the hotbar, select the power tool (as shown in the pic below);
2) Shift+MouseWheel.

sucks because i just spent 25 minutes setting up a 1.5.2 instance(which includes other mods so don't call me stupid, at least for slow setup)
Now we need an infra-red vision module.
Same problem here. I changed the config to UE recipes as "true" but it did not change anything in game.
I saw the commits in Jenkins. My compliments.
I won't use "amazing", "fantastic" and "awesome" because these words might loose the effect if used too often here.
Interestingly, Galacticraft has sensor glasses that highlight certain mobs (not all mobs) with a green tint in the darkness. That's another reason I use both mods together.

press L you twit
EDIT: Nevermind, found my answer.
Minecraft 1.5.2
Forge 5.2.10.703
CodeChicken Core 0.8.6.6
NEI 1.5.2.13
MPS 0.7.0-508
Steps to duplicate:
Fresh Minecraft install using MultiMC
Install mods except for MPS - NEI functionality works
Install MPS - F7 and F9 does not activate NEI functions.
Thanks.
It's not going to work because there are checks in place to make sure it only looks for items that exist in game. If you wanted to "force" it to work, you'd edit this line (just make it "return true;" instead):
https://github.com/M...bility.java#L29
and recompile the mod.
Did you... installed any module yet?
looks nice with the wings and tail :3

I continued out of curiosity. I have a fix for myself, but in case you ever decide to work on it (since I'm sure as hell not opening a pull request and making your job easy), SlickFont.getStringWidth > MuseRenderer.getStringWidth > ClickableButton constructor > ClickableKeybinding constructor > KeybindManager.readInKeybinds probably shouldn't be called before the main screen GUI is launched.
Take care.
