Decorative  BlocksPosted Image

These are two simple decorative mods that incorporate new base blocks, Chimneys, Fireplaces, and Mantels. They add several things including a stack of fire wood that can be ignited using flint and steal, Several new marble based blocks, Five mantel segments that can be connected in many different combinations, Chimney blocks that react to several other types of blocks, and finally the Chimney Top decorations used to finish off the top of your chimney.

Features
  Decorative Marble
  • Marble Blocks - Comes in three colors, white, gray, and black.
  • New Brick Blocks - Added Small and Large Brick Style Blocks in black and white, added Small Brick Style Block in stone. (Gray Marble Bricks would look too much like Stone Bricks)
  Decorative Chimney    (Requires Decorative Marble)
  • Stack of Logs - Can be ignited with flint and steal or put out with an empty hand, while lit will emit light.
  • Hollow Chimney Blocks - Comes in 16 textures, when stacked next to or above an Active Furnace, Fire or Ignited Logs, these blocks will start to emit smoke out the top (only works for vertical stacks), also the smoke can be turned on using a red stone signal.
  • Mantel Pieces - Includes five separate mantel pieces that react to blocks near them similar to the fence, pieces include corner, center, plain side, decorative side, and footer.
  • Chimney Top Decorations - These can be used at the top of the Hollow Chimney Blocks to give them a nice finished look, they function just like the Hollow Chimney Blocks.

Awesome job on the models. I do see a conflict or 2 with the recipes. The mantel center pieces recipe is the same as the super slopes pyramid corner. The stack of logs may have the same problem.
My only limitation is my lack of imagination.  I can't code but I can build Adventure Maps. :)

I'm a fan of aesthetics. I'm downloading this mod.

Also, just like what Wreckage said, the mantel piece recipe does conflict with a recipe in the Super Slopes mod. The same could be for the log piles, but I'll have to confirm that first.
Edit: The log piles are fine, but the mantel pieces still conflict with a recipe from the Super Slopes mod.

Looks sweet, i wanted to make you a spotlight video but i cant get the mod to work with MagicLauncher and i never actually install mods my self cuzz its to much work. If you could get the file acceptable by MagicLauncger or MCpatcher then id be happy to make the video :)

Thanks for the feedback. Ill work on slightly different recipes for those conflicts. As for the MagicLauncher, Ill look into it but no promises there. Unless I am mistaken, if you are using other mods already that require forge, it should be a simple mater of dropping the zip file in the mod folder in your .minecraft folder and changing any id conflicts (which can be some work if there were conflicts and you dont know what ids arent used).

Keep it up, would love to see more work from you. ;)

Certainly looks interesting, I'd like to know if the Marble recipies could be made to accept Redpower Marble (and perhaps Basalt for the dark ones)? Or maybe if they could be made to use Forge's ore dictionary so I can use Omnitools Lexicon to convert Redpower Marble to this mod's marble.

can you make an alternate download other than mediafire?  my schools network blocked mediafire for some odd reason

also, i love the way this mod looks.

i also have a sudgestion.  can you make it possible to have more kinds of molding (ie, dark wood, jungle wood, ect.) for the mantle decor blocks?  i feel as if that would add tons of more possibilities for decor with this mod.

also, you may have not realized it yet but the mantle molding not only makes a fireplace interesting, but it could also make the entire room interesting so you might want to make wall molding as well that is flush with normal blocks
If you grief me, I will personally hunt you down :P
