I think he just replaced iron/diamond with some other blocks idk haven't tried it yet...
I'm pretty sure that he replaces the current % of the amount of ore that diamond/iron creates with a bigger % for example if I patch the diamond one and create a new world I will find a lot mor diamond than I will without the mod patched

If that's the case, then wow nice find STKC, what instruction was it? Under what name/sub-process did you find the offset? If that is really how you did it, that could be a really cool find, we could do so many other mods with that

Hey I haven't tried it out yet, but is it just wool to water? Without changing water to wool?
no it doesnt change water to wool. it alters the crafting recipe successfully
and to your recent comment, this more ore generation mod was simply done by changing redstone to either iron ore or diamond ore

Well if that's how it is I tested the diamond mod and it's not working
Wouldn't crafting string into cobweb make more sense than water.
Couldn't you also change the crafting recipe of fence or fence gate to sign sense they already have the same ingredients.
Also could you add a lava recipe.

And to do that you would have had to have taken the offset of wool and altered its hex to water, also you didn't really "alter" the recipe. The recipe is still the same, however you changed the block in which the recipe makes.
Just to clear things up

Try this one out: recipe output change of 4 smooth stone makes bedrock rather than stone bricks.
Also with the sign mod you did wall sign and not item sign so when it's placed on a wall it floats in front instead and you have to break it to get the item sign.
