In this episode we get situated in our new world, collect some basic resources, and check out some of the Thaumcraft 3 world generation.

Part 2 - Let the Thaumaturgy commence:
Today we begin building some of our basic Thaumcraft items and tools. All is going well until we run into a lack of Feathers, and no Chickens to be found.
Part 3 - Research, Crucibles, and Nitor:
I managed to find some Chickens between episodes and complete the Research Table. From there we begin researching our first item, Nitor. We then create a Crucible and perform our first magical acts.
Part 4 - Alumentum and Transmutation:
Today we continue our research and discover how to transmute base metals into Gold. We also discover and create the explosive Alumentum, I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with it in the future.
Part 5 - Thaumium and Magical Building Blocks:
We continue our climb up the research tree, discovering the Thaumium Ingot and how to craft two kinds of Magical Building Blocks.
Part 6 - Thaumometer and Enchanted Cloth:
We discover how to create the magical Thaumometer, as well as Enchanted Cloth that will have a multitude of uses later on.
Part 7 - Building a more fitting home:
Today we work on a wizards tower so we will have a home that better suits our magical experimentations.
Part 8 - Traps, roofs, and the Unified Thaumic Field Theory:
Our wizard tower is complete! Today I run through the door trap I made to keep mobs out, and the roof that took ages to make. We then move back into our Thaumic Research with the Unified Thaumic Field Theory.
Part 9 - I hate the Nether so much:
Our hunt for Mutatio leads us to a search for a stronghold in the Nether.
Part 10 - The Wand of Excavation:
We finally obtain Mutatio and finish the Unified Thaumic Field Theory. We then move on to discover the awesome Wand of Excavation. I'll never need a Pickaxe or Shovel again.

Today we discover the incredible Infernal Furnace. It's big, it's mean, and it produces additional nuggets
Part 12 - Boots of the Traveller:
Today we discover the Boots of the Traveller. These things are amazing and, combined with the Wand of Excavation, make mining alot quicker and easier.
Part 13 - Warded Jars, Gunpowder, and Tallow Candles:
Lots of research in todays episode, we discover Jars that will have important uses later. An alternative way to obtain gunpowder, and a use for all that rotten flesh zombies drop.
Part 14 - Arcane Levitator, and so much Flux:
Today we discover the Arcane Levitator. We also learn not to put the Essentia for multiple crafts in the crucible at once, to the detriment of our local aura.
Part 15 - Goggles of Revealing, and Warded Stone Blocks:
We finally unlock the Goggles of Revealing, these allows us to see the Aura and Flux levels of the nodes around us. We also discover Warded Stone Blocks and Doors, these are really useful for SMP.
Part 16 - Brain in a Jar and Wand of Equal Trade
Today we discover the strange Brain in a Jar. This little guy will collect experience from enemies slain nearby and hold it for the player. We also discover the Wand of Equal Trade, which allows us to exchange one block for another.
Part 17 - Hungry Chests and Portable Holes
Today we discover the Hungry Chest, a great new item that will "eat" any item dropped nearby (this will couple really well with our Infernal Furnace). We also discover the Portable Hole, a neat little tool that allows us to pass through walls.
Part 18 - Basic Flux Research, Arcane Alembics, and Essentia Storage
We're starting to get into some cool stuff now with Basic Flux research unlocking the Arcane Alembics, which can capture excess Essentia from our crucible, and teaching us how to store this extra Essentia in Warded Jars.
Part 19 - Golemancy! and The Theory of Everything
We finally discover the Golemancy theory and can begin constructing these awesome little guys. To start with we build a basic Wooden Golem. We also discover the Theory of Everything, a huge theory that unlocks an expensive and powerful wand.
Part 20 - Stone Golems, Strong Cores, and Wands of Fire and Lightning
Heaps of research today. We discover Stone Golems, used for moving items between chests. Strong Cores, which allow our golems to carry more items at a time, and the last two of our wand discoveries. These two powerful wands give us a short range and long range magical attack.
This is one of my first attempts at a video playthrough series, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Wow, it's been a while since I updated this thread. Over 30 episodes since then, so rather than linking them all like I used to I'll just give it a bump and link the newest =P.
Part 51 - Tasty Treats, Aerial Combat, and Beacons:
Today we look at a small recipe that has been in Thaumcraft 3 since the beginning, as well as kill another Wither and build a Beacon.
When Thaumcraft 3 released I decided I would do a playthrough to discover the new features first hand.
This is a playthrough focusing solely on Thaumcraft 3. I'll only be using Thaumcraft 3 and a few quality of life mods.
Rather than presenting the mod in a review or spotlight style, I'm aiming to stumble through and unlock/discover everything 'legit'.
