uhm actually both of you guys are wrong...you gota go to the google play store and download "PocketTool" then in-app you gota tap "change server IP" type the server in the dialog box, then tap "patch my IP!" and then just press the menu button and tap apply.the app will promp if you want to uninstall minecraft and you gota hit yes, then wait a little bit after its done because it will promp to install the modified minecraft app. you're done

- i do warn you that from the research ive done most of the servers listed in this forum are offine because i havent been able to connect to many of them,i do encourage you to try if you got time

Well thats a modification, in the original MCPE you can't. And as emzatiger said, might be added in future update.

To start a new topic, (you could do this with maps, screenshots, texture packs, and multiplayer sessions.) On top of the screen, you should see a green button that says start a new topic in anyone of these subforums.
But thank you for trying to help me out, but I will wait till they update it until they add online multiplayer.

I'm not tottally sure how to do it on IOS but with Android, download the free app, Pocket Tool and open it up. Next click on tool kit at the top and than click on change server ip. Type in a server ip (one from the forums listed under PE). Than after it says done patching and magic okay, at the top right corner click apply changed. Than ask the owner to put it up. When you goto PE and click multiplayer their server will apear if online. We are currently at 0.6.1 but in April, 0.7.0 will be released and contain online multiplayer and likely, custom skins :)
