Friday, December 28th, we will be hosting our second Build for Charity event in support for Child's Play Charity.   The event will be 24 hours starting at 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and will last until Saturday 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

The event is survival based, allotting players 24 hours to brave the wilderness and embark on an epic adventure to help raise money for charity.  Anyone is welcome to join us, you are not required to make a donation to Child's Play in order to play with us during the 24 hours, however, it is greatly appreciated.  Our goal is to raise $500 during the 24 hours.

Donations are being going directly to Child's Play through PayPal, we do not handle a cent of it.  Using a third party program known as ChipIn, we are able to keep track of the donation amount and hopefully reach our $500 goal.  We have had Child's Play approve the website and make sure that donations are going to them, therefore, we have been added to the official Child's Play Event Calendar.  To donate, simply press the Donate button that is located on our homepage, you will then be redirected to Child's Play PayPal.

The first 25 donors to donate $10.00 USD or more will receive a custom Build for Charity character skin.  Our top contributor will receive a $50 Think Geek eCertificate, courtesy of the Boost Gaming Network as a thank you for your support.

We will also be hosting a building competition.  Players who have donated at least $1.00 USD will have 24 hours to build their magnificent structures and submit them via e-mail for a chance to win a $25 Think Geek eCertificate, also courtesy of the Boost Gaming Network.  Once the event has ended, Build for Charity volunteers will get together and vote for their favorite structures.  1st place will receive a $25 Think Geek eCertificate, 2nd place will receive a $15 Think Geek eCertificate, and 3rd place will receive a $10 Think Geek eCertificate.

We would like to thank Prodigious Hosting Co. for providing us with a server to use during the event and we would also like to thank Boost Gaming Network and The Daily Block for their support as well.

We hope to see you Friday, and remember donations to play are not mandatory but appreciated.  We will be running the latest stable version of Bukkit, 1.4.5.

The server IP address will be play.mcip.me.

Warm regards,
The Build for Charity Team
