Forge website seems up now.
An aweful lot of mods use this API. If yours isn't compatible with it, it will seriously lower its interest :/.

Thanks for telling me the website is up.  Now i just need to figure where to get the source; there are about 20 builds for 1.4.6 and 1.4.7 (which is compatible).
EDIT: Facepalm, they had a "source" link right next to the "download" link.

It looks like in order for forge compatibility to work, I will need to make a completely separate version of the mod.  Forge just changes too much of the Minecraft source.  This is why I was against large APIs and loaders in the first place...

You are right. Still, they expand the modding possibility so much that it's quite a good thing they exist :).

True, and there are a lot of good mods that only work because of forge.  And it does make multiplayer mods 100 times easier.  I used to run a MoCreatures server, and it was easy to work with becuase forge told the players what mods they needed.

I love how you kept snow blocks solid, so you can walk on them, but snow that stacks up to its fullest can be walked through. Genius!

Thanks! I was originally going to have full height snow blocks turn solid, but i decided instead to make them slow you down.

Well this is what I have left to do:
  • Add controls for a few more settings
  • Implement saving of settings
  • Fix a stupid bug that makes items bounce on snow like a trampoline
Also, I will release the forge compatible version at the same time.

it looks cool, do you have any plans of adding more layers of snow like the Modern Winder Mode mod? perhpas you could add that feature in snow heavy biomes. And how about snow shoes?

Great mod! I think Blizzards would make a good addition. Like increase snow fall, lowered viability, snow on the side of blocks, and deals damage if you don't have armor on. Not sure if already suggested, but if so consider adding it!
