Well...I gave this seed a try today.  I thought it was pretty awesome.  I spawned with the helper chest and immediately made a boat.  I found one single island with only a single tree.  So it is possible to get trees.  However, it is not possible to ever sleep because there are no sheep.  I was able to gather some seeds so I could make food, but never being able to sleep would not be fun.  All in all, a pretty good map though..I might give it a shot one day to see what I can make of it.  I did find one island in the middle of the map I would set up shop.

Spiders my friend, tis the survival island code. Makes it a tad harder to make a bed, but not that hard, just gotta find the spiders.

Hahaha I tried it and got killed 3 times on hard by spiders. The next event involved the dashboard.

Actually yes, I'm pretty sure directly beneath one of the Mycelium islands (the furthest right one) there's an abandoned mineshaft.
