Do you have a personal behest that doesn't fit any of these categories? If so, what is it?

I want them working on the Mod API and the rendering engine rewrite. With those two, the community can basically do all that other stuff.

I was about to cast my vote for more Adventure content, before I saw what you put in parantheses. They don't need to add any more dungeons or other pre-generated "adventure" content. That stuff provides a good diversion in Survival, but no one should ever bother playing a randomly generated map in Adventure mode. They need to step up their support for user-created adventure maps. That's where I think the real selling point of Creative mode is, as the parent of a well-developed Adventure mode. Creators make the maps, share them online, and Adventurers play the maps. That should be their top priority, I think, and I've got a whole thread about what they can do to make it happen (see link in signature). Second on my list is Redstone. Basic stuff like timers have existed in mods forever. A few real simple gadgets would make a world of difference. Luckily they're taking a few steps that way with 1.5, but I don't know how much they're planning to add. The Allocator is a definite win though, very much looking forward to that.

I think there really should be better combat.Right now its just either "shoot player/mob with a bow and if it gets to melee range, use sword" or "melee, jump and block" because all other weapons are either too difficult to get or not effective.

For example, potions are very good for combat and healing but very hard to get in a PvP server. And potions aren't useful when fighting a few mobs. And then,snowballs/chicken eggs.Very easy to find, but no damage and only useful if you can knock your enemy into some fire/lava or make them fall to their death.
So there should be new weapons that aren't difficult to get and still effective.

Why does mining have only two votes if there's only 7 ores in a game called Minecraft?!

Because it doesn't need more.

I'd like automation, personally.
Say, add deployers, block breakers and autocrafters and you're good to go.
(I DID have a suggestion on this, but it got buried)
Im a master of ideas. And puns.
