1.4.6 will be out before Christmas, but what to do in the meantime?  How about another Snapshot?  Yay!  This week's offering is quite robust indeed - let's take a look.

• Items now show their enchantments when dropped on the ground
  
• Added Enchanted Book to Villagers and Chests
  
• Tweaked fireworks effect and sounds
  
• Item entities are rendered as 3d objects in the world
  
• Corrected how enchanted books work, and added them to villagers and chests
  
• Added “thorns” enchantment
  
• Added tool highlight when switching items in the hotbar
  
• Added a notice/warning for users still playing on PowerPCs or Java 5 (Java 1.5)
  
• Various bug fixes and enchantment adjustments

Don't forget: if you are testing out a Snapshot, and encounter a bug you want to report, please visit the official Minecraft Bug Tracker, Mojira, and write up the bug in question with as much detail as possible!

Is that bug that reseted the breaking of a block when you picked another block, changed held item or ate something fixed? That's annoying.

When an enemy hits you, that enemy might get some damage. It's random at times. As if you had "thorns".

I'm under the impression that what you are describing is actually the fix to an exploitable piece of the game mechanics.  Now that it has been fixed, people cannot cleverly save on tool durability by switching to a different tool before the block breaks.

Everybody, the thorns enchantment returns some of the melee damage to the person or mob who inflicted it. From what I have seen it has about a 2/3 chance of working. It does not return damage for arrows. If I am misinformed, please correct me, I want to know

Some of these new feature is not working for me:
-Item show their Enchant when dropped on ground (Simply nothing happen)
-Firework (can't find them.also can't craft them)
-Item Entitie are rendered as 3D (They still in 2D for me :/ )

Also,now i said that enchanted book can be really usefull now,why? Cause now we can combine every enchant on every tool and item. Nice!
For the new enchant thorns,not really intessering on it,probably usefull on some hardcore and CTM map.

I love the tool highligth when switched.

You can now use Ctrl+Q to drop stacks of items. Would've though that would be worth mentioning. Now I can drop stacks of junk from my hotbar without opening my inventory.
