Seems a bit unnecessary for a single item. . . but hey, whatever works right.
I would like to see maybe a different GUI, maybe to be compatible with making different items, but if that doesn't work, then I can live with what we've got.
I support.

I thought about that, but the problem is the only other applicable item is TNT, and including another slot for TNT seems a bit complex.

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

I like the idea, but with the current model you can theoretically put every single dye in one firework rocket. This limits it to 3 (6 if you count fading, which I don't.
Um, dude? It's not confusing to make fireworks. At all. Seriously.
This interface is still nice though, I support it. Is this something you wanna push to have implimented in game? If so count me in.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

That's why you can still make fireworks with 2x2 crafting. This is strictly optional, and though less flexible it would be easier.
Oh, the fact that you said 2x2 was confusing and made it sound like 3x3 wouldn't work (after all, why else would you specify 2x2?) if this is just an option for people who find standard crafting too hard, I guess I support, even if I would not use it.
Ahh, OK. Yeah, it's intended as an alternative, not a replacement.
Good idea, but i do not support because it;s pure laziness.
Pure laziness? How so?
You see, I'd want to spend more time on firework shows only it is so time consuming to make the fireworks that the show isn't that great because I'm spending all my time focusing on the firework making. How is that laziness?

To lazy to learn. To adapt. We can already make fireworks with all these things.
Well, the idea is good, so don't misunderstand me. Just sounds a bit lazy.
My point is that while we can do it we can spend more time on the coordinated display, rather than on the individual firework. It's about making sure a full show looks good as a whole which takes a lot of time right now. I'd rather spend maximum time working on the total interface rather than each individual firework. Try making a full firework show and you will see how hard it is currently.

its unnecessary
the current method works just fine and fire works serve no actual purpose other than an aesthetic
there are more important things that should be focused on in the next update.( here are a few things just so you won't ask whats more important "bug fixing, redstone, the lighting system dinnerbone was working on, all the other feature they have promised but haven't actually started on".)
and on a semi-related note change your title.
14.29% don't like it & 7.14% don't care. Thats not 100% support

Have you tried a large fireworks display? Likely not, because if you have, you'd know those are hell to organize; it's not just an aesthetic.

Well one of the no no no's was a trolling post, and the person told me to count those as yes.
Nearbeer summed it up, it's really hard to work on a firework display when half of the time you are just trying to make them.

I know how to craft fireworks, but it might be useful for players who don't. How is the stand crafted though?
Do'h. I cannot believe I forgot that. Adding it now.
Also, it's meant to make it easier to make lots of different fireworks, not to make it easier for players who have no clue. Though I suppose it would help them.

Yeah, I realize that. Maybe it could be useful for a future item or something?
Don't get me wrong though, I still support your idea.

I praise you, oh Void Walker, oh god of the Minecraftian World...EDIT NOV 12 2013: Never mind. I'm now a glowstone miner.
Anyway, thank you!

Also, someone with Twitter needs to tweet this to Jeb, that's the only way he sees anything on here.
I know, once you get used to it it isn't complex.
Yep, this is just optional. If you want you can stick with 2x2 crafting.

But it still takes time—so firework shows are hard because it takes too much time to just make the fireworks.
No, of course it doesn't. It is an alternative, that might be better for some players and others can still use 2x2 crafting method.
Thank you.
Added, and it is optional.
That would make no sense. I'm just saying that you can use 3x3 or 2x2 just like normal.
Ahh, OK. Yeah, it's intended as an alternative, not a replacement.

Admittedly it is a little time consuming but no more so than any other major build in minecraft.
Yes, but a simple thing like a firework show should be easy to set up. That way I can make a major build with a firework display with much less work.
Do'h. I cannot believe I forgot that. Adding it now.
