PYROTECHNIC STAND

40+ SUPPORTERS! THANK YOU ALL!

NOW A HOT TOPIC!

TL;DR

Spoiler:

What is the Pyrotechnic Stand?

The Pyrotechnic Stand is a new way of making fireworks that organizes the different components by effects, color, etc. and eliminates the firework star, getting rid of another one use item that desperately needs to be gone.

They pyrotechnic stand is able to be activated by redstone; however it is not required.

It may be a creative-only item, I'm not sure yet.

What will the Pyrotechnic Stand look like?

Submitted by TheRVsGuy! Thank you so much. If you like this, please give his post a +1 as well. He/she deserves the credit for this.

Why do we need a Pyrotechnic Stand?

A Pyrotechnic Stand will make the firework process significantly easier to make, letting players focus on what matters: the basic properties. Currently, firework making is a trick process involving a heavy knowledge of how the fireworks are made and not enough focus on the actual making of the show. This will let it be much easier by organizing all components into a simple system.

So, where is this stand's GUI?

Right here:

Posted Image

How do we use this GUI?

Color: Put in up to three colors into the slot, and it will combine them.

Effect: Put in up to three ingredients (they still cannot conflict)

Fade: Add colors in here as well, to set the fade out color.

Time: Up to three gunpowder means that you have the same time freedom as current.

NEW!: The little firework icon in the corner: Put a firework in there and add whatever you need, including more effects if you want the effect of multiple firework stars, or have different colors.

The way it would work, is that if there is no added effects, it will treat added colors as simply changing the color. If you are adding both color and effects, it will treat it as its own independent firework star. While this seems convoluted, it actually is quite natural.

What will it look like?

Similar to a brewing stand, but with just one slot coming through the middle. Custom Pics will hopefully come soon.

What is its durability?

Probably infinite, subject to change. If you think it should be different, please vote. If you think it should be the same, please vote too.

How do we craft the Pyrotechnic Stand?

NEW EDIT: FEB 25:

Thank you all for your support. I'm astonished by this, and all you will make this possible. I'd love to see generous modders create something for this. Thank you again, and so you know I am here, alive, and so thankful that you all are pushing this idea further than I've ever dreamed.

I like this idea a lot. The current system is far too confusing, and this just looks cooler. Support.

Needs some form of redstone activation. I'd still like it though.

Redstone power ----> pyrotechnic stand -------> fireworks

It wouldn't be required, like a wooden door, but COULD be activated by redstone.

I think you mean iron door.

That's a good idea, I'll add it.

wooden doors can be toggled by redstone; I meant not required as in you can just right click it too whereas an iron door requires redstone.
