ModLoader source download. When you rename something make sure you rename every instance of it, including .java/.class files. You can also open other default block source and copy-paste that into the "YourBlock.java" to replicate its functionality. It's pretty straightforward, but I can't help you any more than this for the moment, so good luck!

I loaded this mod alone and it works perfectly. My mod pack is the problem, none of the mods alter the same class as yours though. Its weird because I can have your plant but I don't get anything from crafting. I will do some trouble shooting. Great Mod.
Agreed! I've already started toying with new leaf blocks, but the code Notch uses to calculate the disconnected leaves implements an awfully difficult array, which gives me a java heap error whatever I do. Anyways, I'll keep trying and experimenting.

oh dear, it looks like the blocknames (item.gunpowder,etc.) you used in the source example were de-obfuscated D:
i hope it still works
EDIT: is there supposed to be a Youritem.java file? because there isnt...

Religion is like a penis. It's ok to have one, and it's ok to be proud of it. But don't go waving it around in public, and don't try to shove it down kids' throats.

Although I won't provide the exact source for this mod, I will however type up a little template if you'd like.

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 121 is already occupied by XieBlockCampfire@12c9557 when adding GunpowderReeds@9f0d
From the name it looks like it conflicts with one of Xie's mods. Which one I don't know.
Time to start a gunpowder farm! =D
