Vanilla Recipes

- 78 New Recipes -

What it does
This mod adds several useful crafting recipes to the game. I know there are several recipe-mods out there but most of them either added new stuff to the game or used strange recipes... so I decided to write this mod by myself. It is nothing special but I think it is quite useful Posted Image I put focus on keeping it balanced (no "cheaty" recipes) and using recipes that make sense.

Config-Options
- allows deactivating single recipes
- allows deactivating crafting / recycling seperatly
- allows to activate hardcore recycling that gives back one less item

Clever idea for a mod, I'll try that tonight !

Just a quick feedback : you shouldn't use a custom texture pack fo ryour screenshots, makes it less easy to see the crafts.

This mod is for ModLoader, which means it WILL work with Forge.

Also nice little mod :) I would maybe change some of the recipes which use too many seeds ;)

Thanks Posted Image I guess you are talking about the vines and the waterlily!? Hm ... not sure to what I should change them - besides, after the first weed farm it shouldn't be much of a problem Posted Image

But if you have suggestions please go ahead Posted Image

P.S.: Merry Christmas!

Shame this isn't too popular, now playing on 1.4.6 I nearly didn't find this thread again. It changes minor things but it's so useful. Recipes that make actual sense and are easy to do if you have the necessary resources. And most of all, do not add things that are not in the game itself.

Just wanted to say thanks since you make blocks that usually are a pain in the ass to get, obtainable.

Awesome mod, the best I've seen like it so far. Though, while some of this mod is over the top awesome, there are other parts I could, or would need to do without. Also, in some areas I have incompatibility with mods I want to use for 1.4.6, such as chain mail and wool to string.

So that I might be able to included this wonderful mod in my 1.4.6 running set, I have some suggestions on these topics below.

Crafting:

I.Chain Mail: Wool Posted Image or Posted Image  in free space + iron bar Posted Image  recipes for chain mail as current = chain mail armors...

II. Ability to disable/re-enable each individual crafting recipe in config file.

Recycling:
I. Iron Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image alone in a Posted Image crafting table = chain mail version of item .

II.Ability to disable/re-enable each individual recycling recipe in config file. Issue in example for compatibility would be the wool to string.

III.Wooden Pickaxe Posted Image = Wooden stickPosted Image

I'm working on the config file ... probably going to release it tonight Posted Image
I'll add leather to the chainmail recipes.

As for the iron armor -> chainmail armor recipe I think it is a bit imbalanced because people just would use the iron armor till it is almost destroyed and then trade it for a chainmail armor Posted Image
Same goes for the wooden tools in my opinion.

Awesome, thank you so much for the prompt feedback.

I agree about the recycling of the mail, though what if it gave you chain mail of the same degradation?

This mod is very nice, but there a few small issues i see with it as it stands, nothing big though. I think that mossy cobblestone (one of the greatest blocks in all of minecraft) should be A LOT harder to make, as I believe it was intended to be. Maybe add some diamonds in the recipe or emeralds or some other sort of difficulty to the recipe. I may just deactivate it, in the spirit of mossy cobblestone Posted Image

Same goes for some of the other blocks too, I think they should be a little more pricey as they are hard to get normally.

Great mod though, hope it gets more popular for you Posted Image

EDIT: Actually now that I've looked back again, it's really just the mossy stone and stone brick stuff I think... sorry to make it look like a lot was bad with the recipes Posted Image Anyways, these are for you:
