This map looks cool. I think I'll going to play here.
Everyone who wants hardcore or chears or something else could download any NBT editor and do whatever he wants. And how much dungeons is there? Don't you want to think about turning your map to CTM-style map? This should make a bit much sense to play here.
And don't you want to give us ability to download this map?

I found the download link. not sure if it's 1.4.6, but Look at the videos up above. I chose to click on episode four, and it has a download link in the description. ALSO. isn't that illegal? Not sure. (having download link in a video not made by map maker)

Fixed the download link. Apologies.
As for the youtube user who posted a direct download link... it's whatever. The map has be reuploaded to any number of sites without my consent, I'm not too bothered. Time stamps will show that it was posted on here on MCF by me first if the issue of ownership ever comes up (which I sincerely doubt it ever will.)
I'll look into NBT editor and getting a HC version of the map uploaded. @rsod, I'm not really interested in making CTM maps, there are plenty of authors that do it better than I ever could, and Eesher Island was always meant to be a survival map.
On a similar note. I'm developing a new survival map that expands upon the ideas I explored with Eesher Island (island biomes, sweeping landscapes, and sponges!) as well as some new ideas (custom dungeons, a custom stronghold, novelty items, etc) It's roughly 10x the size of Eesher Island and far more expansive and unusual. As a result I wont be actively updating Eesher Island beyond what I mentioned above. However this shouldn't matter much as survival maps aren't as dependent on updates as say mods or texturepacks.
