Azanor,I am curious....  Does your golems support mod-added crops?  If they do, it will make it easy to set up my fully automated farm, if not... sad day.

You know what, I am going to see if I can add the Ores and Infused Stone from Thaumcraft 3 into the config of COG (Custom Ore Generation) and see if it works, because if it does, it would make nice little Infused Stone Veins. :3

I've run into a new problem that is (from what I can tell) not specifically a TC3 problem, but a Minecraft problem that affects TC3 for me...

At home I have a net connection (likle most, if not all, of you)... I play minecraft with TC3 (and many other mods), and things are great!

At work I have no internet (security guard), but I can play games on my laptop (between rounds)... but when I play I have none of the research I had when I was at online at home, it's just gone! So I work my way back up again (while offline at work), and when I get home (and now online) I find that I have all my lost research (the stuff that was missing when I got to work), but lost anything I researched at work...

It seems minecraft IDs you as your username while online, and your email address while offline, and TC3 saves your research under whatever name minecraft IDs you as.... so offline research levels are only available offline, and online levels only when you are online.

Anyone know a workaround to this?

Hope this makes sense, if you want to test this it is simple:
Start a new world while you are connected to the internet, research something, then save and quit. Now disconnect your internet, and re-launch minecraft, open the saved world, check your research. It will be gone.

BTW, I use MultiMC as a launcher, just in case that makes a difference.

And please don't respond with "use offline mode even when online", I will forget to 1/2 the time.

Usually you have to just use logical ideas to figure it out.  There are also some aspects that are very common, like Imperito(The puppet one) being in almost every golem related recipe, or mutatio(flux) from netherwarts.

Here is a list of very basic materials that are very useful for research, and can get you almost everything currently in the mod.  Don't open this list if you want to find them yourself.
Spoiler:

You also have to realize, there is only so many recipies currently, the mod is only at 25% complete.  If you just want to know how many are left, there are a total of 23 items after Unified Thaumic Field Theory.  One, and only one, of those requires something you can discover earlier in the mod, that isn't required to move on (Hint, you can make candles with it).

Another tip... You don't ever have to use diamonds for anything CURRENTLY in this mod, except a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian(that can currently be mined by a Thaumic one, meaning this isn't even needed). Info on some items needed...

i didn't see this mentioned so i think i found a bug... that or messed something up. after i gathered the materials to build an infernal furnace (and me and my friend arguing over where it should go in our house (i was the one that reaserched and built and he gathered materials but thats besides the point) i build it we grab our raw chicken and iron ore (so we can start a midevil mcdonalds) i activate it with my wand and i throw the ore and chicken in and nothing came out... so i threw some sand in there to see if it smelted that and it didn't so it looks like the infernal furnace doesn't work on my server... or as i said i messed something up if it was my fault if someone could please point me in the right direction to fix it.

ps. I don't know if this matters but i attached a arcane bellow to it before i put the stuff in.

Found my problem right there. Seems I'm pretty much done with researches. (I've researched all those 23 items)

Oh well.

Slight bug, my wands refuse to reload from the surrounding aura. I've taken it from the table into my inventory, I've moved to a different node. And my wands still will not reload.

I'm ssp with the recent FTB update, btw

2 iron shovels + 1 snowman = infinite snow that can be shoveled up fast

Dump 1000 snow into the cauldron.

Wait

Eventually get a wisp.

Pain in the arse.

Yea, they also will spawn in almost any mod added dimention.  As soon as I get my enderpearl supply up, I am checking to see if there are any in the end as well.  Twilight Forest actually has them scattered about, but due to how it's terrain generates, it makes all of the nodes have very low aura levels (I have noticed that, outside of special circumstances (temples/barrow Dungeons), the best way to tell just how much aura a type of region will have is roughly based on how much organic matter it has. Jungles are very prosperous as a result, while, for example, the Wasteland biome added by ExtrabiomesXL has near no aura.  It uses Vanilla trees/flowers for the sake of checking this it seems, meaning the Twilight has very little to fuel it.  I think ores also are taken a little bit into consideration).

Azanor, is it possible to make the arcane levitator so it will continue to work beyond open trap doors and such?  Oh, and maybe underwater too?

rainbow_dash_777, that wouldn't help you since, as far as I can tell, the Nether has no naturally generated Flux. It would be just as easy to flood an area of the overworld in flux. The most convenient way, though, is to get lucky and find the dungeon Thaumcraft adds and take advantage of the flux generating node found inside it.

I would have to agree with that person... Me and my friend built a base next to one of the dungeons that Thaumcraft adds (we had no idea at the time of what was inside, we just thought it was added by one of our other Dungeon based mods.) And he mined around the area as I went hunting down Zap Apple Trees, and lo and behold, we were hearing strange sounds coming from inside the structure. One we looked inside we saw our first wisp... We thought it was nothing to fret about because there was two of us  one of it, and some zombies and Skeletons we could easily pick off... We learned different when we actually proceeded inside, because once inside, we learned that there was about 13 wisps in the bottom half of the Dungeon like structure... I died, and he almost died trying to clear them out...

Btw, epic death for the Wisps... I killed my first one with a bow, and when it exploded into light... Just pure epicness! x3

Edit:
Btw, if you are having trouble finding the Flux Arua Nodes, here are some of the Vanilla Biomes I have found them in so far.
Spoiler: Boimes:

Redwood forests area a good area to set up in if you want large natural nodes got two nodes near me in a new world that together equal around 1k. Once I get things set up and get some silverwood saplings I'll merge the two together =3
