I'm trying to create a bukkit server and when launching the launcher.bat file I get this error:
Unable to access jarfile C:\Users\Me\Desktop\Server\craftbukkit.jar

I have everything set up, it just won't run. If you could help, it will be greatly appreciatedand you can have a  :Diamond:

Do you have the .bat file and the .jar file in the same directory? Is the .jar file named craftbukkit.jar?

Can you paste the contents of the .bat file here and give us an idea of the contents of the folder you're using for your server?

What do you mean by directory? They're in the same folder if that's what you mean.

Here's the .bat file:

@echo off
"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms512M -Xmx512M -jar C:\Users\\Desktop\Server\craftbukkit.jar
pause

I didn't put my users name for privacy.

A directory is another way of saying folder.

You don't have to give the path of the .jar file if they're in the same directory. Change the contents of the .bat file to this:

@echo off
"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms512M -Xmx512M -jar craftbukkit.jar
pause

Oh and don't worry Evan, your privacy is safe with me. :Diamond:

as long as the .bat and the .jar are in the same folder then there should be no problems. should work just fine.

Then change %ProgramFiles(x86)% to %ProgramFiles%

(x86) = 32bit

Same Problem too, and i've been running a server since the middle of the year and suddenly i try the latest build and it says it cannot access the .jar file. I am gonna try to use a older build and see if that helps any. :/

Ok i just tried a older build and it won't work, so it must be something with the computer that changed.

Now i just tried my older server that i havn't updated yet and it worked..... im confused.
