It depends on what kind of mod you are looking for as well.

For ModLoader, did you delete the META-INF File? It could be that that it is not causing it to work.

My ears hurt from all these caps. Anyways, depends on what you are looking for. "SOMETHING THAT ADDS NEW CONTENT" could mean any mod.

For people who dislike installing mods, try a Modpack with it's own launcher, like Technic or Feed The Beast.

My advice would be a modpack too. If you have difficulties installing Forge/Modloader then installing a nonForge/Modloader mod will be difficult too. Thats the whole point of Forge and Modloader. To make mods easier to install and in the case of Forge also to make them compatible.

Try installing it with MagicLauncher, it makes mods much easier to install.

youll get 90 years older before any good mod that dosent reqiure Forge/Modloader becomes made
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and really badly hope it happens.

If you want any mod that is ANY sort of good, you need modloader, or better forge...

If you wouldn't be so lazy, you might be having fun right now instead of trolling the forums.. :D FeedTheBeast would be your best bet since you are "too lazy to click the link."

Two great mods are the Mccapes mod, which allows you to uplaod and edit your own cape. Another one is Optifine, which gives you a boost in fps and lots of extra video settings. Those are the only ones i know of atm that don't require modloader or forge.

I don't know, I was once working on a huge mod that didn't need an API.
The problem was, who the hell cares what I do? Now, on to your problem.
I really think you should be more specific. What goes wrong when you try to install Forge or ModLoader?

If you need a hand, I would be more than happy to assist.
