ORANGECRAFT

This is my first attempt at making texture changes, ever, so only constructive critiscm please. This is OrangeCraft, a 16x16 texture pack, and is very much a work in progress. The changes so far are
-Different grass color and texture
-All ore textures different
-Different dirt texture
-Different stone texture
-Different cobblestone texture
-Different glass texture
-All wooden planks textures are different
-Different wooden log textures (all except Jungle so far)
--Different snow texture
-GUI
And that's it so far. I think it looks pretty good, but I'll let you guys be the judges.
Screenshots:

This shows the new textures, colors, and hotbar GUI ^^ (Did 9 of each wood so you can see why I left the bar at the bottom)

And this one shows the button GUI^^
So that's what I have of my texture pack so far. I hope you like it! Download link below.

The grass makes it a bit lighter, but there are plenty of packs out there that make Minecraft a lighter game. I'm sure you really like this yourself, but most people wouldn't want to download it. Try changing some of the textures as well as making them lighter. Don't bucket fill, that's never a favoured technique. Shade the textures, and add some new ones, and it could be great.

I hope I helped this to improve.

Yeah, I know it doesn't change a lot and is very simple, but I wasn't really looking for it to be like all the other texture packs. I really like the default textures, but I don't really like the GUI, so I figured I would just try to change it myself. I used orange and light blue because those are my favorite colors. So I figured, hey, there's probably other poeple out there like me, so why not upload it? Thanks for your help!

I'll admit, the grass color is actually really cool. But you need to make some more changes if you want this to be an actual "texture pack"...

Thanks! I made it since I love orange, too.

Yeah, I know it's not much, but I wasn't really looking for it to be a "texture pack". I love the default textures, but hated the GUI and grass color, so I figured I'd change it. I wanted to keep the regular textures, but still make it satisfy my needs, sort of like AntVenom's pack.

Updated: Logo is now an orange instead of default picture, and pack description is changed. I might change the XP bar and orbs, but I might not. Depends on if I feel like it or not.

I'm surprised the regulars of the textures section haven't gotten here yet, so I guess I'll fill the role until then.

This is a default edit, generally the scum of the texture packs section, and this isn't an exception.
MANY texture packs do basically the same thing as this, and there was hardly any effort put into this pack. If you make a small pack, keep it to yourself or share it with your friends. We don't want the screen filled by a 'texture pack' that changes 2 textures.

On to the proper 'constructive' criticism:
If you hit F2 the game will take screenshots that don't include the window bar, which are located in the screenshots folder in your .minecraft.
This pack doesn't really change enough to bother being uploaded, and at any rate there are many packs that do this already. The GUI is ugly and the colors don't match very well at all, as well as you took your screenshot in fast graphics (Could've set it to fancy to make the pictures nicer)

I couldn't do the F2 on the title screen, but yeah, I probably should've done it on the in-game on. I didn't even think to set it to fancy, because I normally play on fast (my computer sucks butt). I didn't really want to make a real texture pack, just change the GUI and grass color, because those were the only defaults I disliked. And actually, I put quite a bit of effort into this, as this was the 5th draft of the GUI, because I disliked all the other ones I tried first. I couldn't find any other packs like this, and orange and light blue are my favoreite colors, so I made it myself. I figured there are probably at least a couple people like me who would enjoy this and not know how to make it themselves/not want to, so I figured I would upload it. Thanks for your input, though, and I will take it into account if I ever attempt to make another texture pack.

I've decided to try and make this a real texture pack. I've only just gotten started, and there will probably be a couple new tiles every update I post. After I finish the tiles, I'll do the items, and that's probably all I'll do, depending on how popular this gets :3

I'm going to make this a real pack. Or at least try :3

Starting to do that. Please give your input on the textures I have so far! It really does help.

I'd say that you should make the grass and such tile better, as well as remove the boxes of color around the ores, since it stops them from blending with the rocks.
The actual ore textures are great though Posted Image

(I'll keep this bookmarked so I can give my input on changes)

Thanks! I'll work on the grass and stone some more, but I'll probably keep the side of the grass. And I'll get rid of the outline, I just did that so I could see them better haha. There will probably be an update every couple days or so, maybe less time.

Don't double post please. It's against forum rules, and even though it's difficult to be seen when people don't feel like posting, just find me, since I post on any thread that ISN'T super popular.

Anyways, the wood I feel doesn't look like wooden planks, more like mulched wood or something, and the glass is really basic (I assume you are intending to improve it) and I think you should work on making this pack a little more original.

Sorry, didn't know it was against the rules. And for the wood, that was the 4th one I tried and I liked it the best, so I just stuck with it. I'll revise it. As for the glass, I really like the fact that the center is clear, because it makes it easier to see out of. I don't really know how to make it better, any tips? Also, what do you mean by original? I'm making all these textures from scratch using Paint.NET

The buttons on the main screen are a little too bright, as well as the other textures, but i like the design.  :)
