Just because you made it in photoshop doesn't mean it is good.
Not to be mean, but this is pretty bad. The Green is coming through the black lines, the face is sloppy and the black lines which could be straight (*Click* *HoldShift* *Click*) are not connected to each other in some spots.

But everybody starts out this way so please, Watch/do some tutorials and get better and come back! :)

P.S.
This is just my opinion and don't take it personally ;)

Meh, that's just my style. I haven't got a tablet yet.
I'll be honest, I feel pretty disheartened, I've shown it around on another forum and most people like it.
Well, thanks for the opinion. I rather not have straight lines because then it has no character. When I get my tablet, the lines should be better. I spent just like 30 minutes on it, it was quite quick.
Admittedly I probably should have tidied up the edges.
Thanks for the click shift click thing, I like knowing shortcuts like this.
I don't know about getting better because this is how I draw, what I would find useful is how to blend colors better. I struggled shading the headphones, using a mixture of blur, smudge, burn and dodge.

I agree the lines need tidying up, when I'm in the mood I will do that.
I need to find out better ways to blend a gradient
I like my concept, because creepers always look like they're headbanging in animations.
I like the face, I think it is quite simplistic.

I get rather attached to what I draw, if I leave it a day and look back at it, I always see flaws however.

Thanks for the tips :)

Here is something I did a few months back in photoshop. It still needs to be cleaned up around the edges though.

I started with just black lines, then I made a new layer under the black lines and colored the image. It works great! ;)

It's interesting, but your lines look very precise, despite the over all face being wonky. This is why I do sketch lines, turn down the opacity, before drawing the actual lines, to make sure it looks good overall, if not, I tweak the lines.

Apart from that, your method is the same as mine, although I like playing with effects.

Is that a top hat he is wearing? When I draw, I remember the forehead is still there! The eyes are around halfway down the face.

For the outline I made many changes to the black lines, that is why they are quite precise and the face is odd and smudged and stuff because I was trying to get a "cartoony" feel to it ;)

This is really the only "Drawing" I have done in photoshop ....Simply because I suck at it. I spend most of my time designing things like these:

If you want Designing tips I could give you a boatload of them! ;)

Add me to that list. I think this looks really cool. I think it's possible that dietwawa simply is not familiar with the more unpolished art styles that are out there.

This is the kind of picture you'd see on a t-shirt at a metal show, or on the bottom of somebody's skateboard. I think it looks awesome. I don't think there is any problem with the green going outside the lines. It looks like it is supposed to look rough, and its especially good for something that you did in 30 minutes.

The only change I would recommend to this image is the font - it appears in a different style to the picture itself. I reckon the lettering on "headbanger" should be in an airbrushed-graffiti style. The words should appear behind the creeper, rather than having them in front of the creeper, and make them garish and colourful, maybe with dollops of a brighter green than you find on the creeper himself?

My recommendation: Do a google image search for "airbrushed graffiti murals" (edited to add: actually, search "graffiti lettering" - you'll find heaps of useful templates for inspiration), and then make a sketch (a real-life sketch, in greylead on white paper) of that sort of lettering style. Then go over it in a harder black pen, take a photograph (or use a scanner) to get the sketch into photoshop, and colour it in afterwards. Then place it behind the creeper, experiment with the positioning. I think you could get a really good effect out of it.
