I have found recently that, i like little kids shows more then i do average TV... (excluding the cooler new fantasy live action shows) But, to name an example, Instead of watching the crummy, bad joke shows on Disney channel like "good luck Charlie" or "Jessie"... Id like to watch things like My sisters (*gulp*... cant believe im about to say this...) Strawberry shortcake shows from back in like 2005... Or old "Rescue Heroes". I've recently been even doubting my gender and age at some points too... :/ The reason i feel this way is because, there's more... how do i put this... "Story" to most older cartoons, Rescue Heroes even had their own movie, and they have safety tips at the end of each episode... as for strawberry shortcake, I don't even know myself why i even like that show :/ Is this normal for a teenager of 14?
Edit: little add on: (Ive also been starting to almost crack and watch this, "My little pony" show too... i think there is something wrong with me....)
Well, it's not normal by society's standards but remember this - it's not about what others think, it's about what you enjoy. If you like watching stuff like that, then do so, however it would not be wise to go prancing about telling others that you do
ok, i see, ive just been feeling awkward around ppl lately whenever i think of these things too... :/ maybe I might just be the one who is weird...
Nah it's not that, just remember that they don't know about it and don't have to know about it. Of course some people won't care but people these days, pick on the stupidest of things. It's not a bad thing if you're an open minded person, but yeah. It's fine, watching kids shows at 14 is perfectly fine, nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia
MLP is a really good show outside of it's predictable plot. There certainly are some good little kids shows. Well at least better than the garbage on TV today. Also this is obligatory.
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” - C.S. Lewis

So much this. Group Identity is a one way ticket to being manipulated.
I just turned 24 and I still watch them. I mostly still enjoy watching them because for one, I am a artist and watching these cartoons I get some ideas how they designed the characters, backgrounds, and use of colors. Even though the shows are more fun and silly, I see them as educational.
Brony hating sounds more like a "horrible zombie like (wat?) virus".
After all, you go blindly hating of bronies, like a zombie goes blindly eating other living people.
Someone got a nerve struck from a post. He didn't even sound like he was hating them or even disliking them.
Back on subject. It's fine, just don't do it to an extreme amount, like 24/7 children shows.
Even I watch with fascination as the older Blues Clues comes on on the rare occasion (you know, with Steve? That was great, even if he quit because he didn't want to do it anymore). Just don't attach yourself to it too much, as you'll find yourself, and I hate putting it this way, losing friends because they might think that you're odd. It's perfectly fine otherwise.

If you dont want to be Ridiculed by more people than you prob are, you should stop watching those. Get a few boners. Play some COD.

That.. was deep. Thank you all for helping me.
Point is I will, and if you see something wrong with that, then well..
NO ONE CARES. TV IS HORRIBLE THESE DAYS ANYWAY, SO I WATCH WHAT I THINK IS ENJOYABLE.
