STARGATE MC-1

Hello all,

I am nearing completion of the creation of a Stargate SG-1 Themed server, complete with an accurate gate network, Stargate Command, functioning SG Teams, Military Rankings, and more.

I wanted to guage interest in such a server. Pleae reply below if you are interested, and what you'd like to see included in the server.

The server will be called:

Stargate MC-1

There will be fuctional Military rankings, SG Team Leadership, walkie talkie and SGC-based E-mail for communication, silverfish as Goa-ulds, and much more.

Make your home on base, or live on off-base apartments. Form a SG Team and use the gate network to travel to different planets in search of rare minerals, aliens, and the Goa-uld.


I've got quite a few ideas with where I want to take this server, but I'd welcome any thoughts those of you who find this interesting may have.

I find this very creative, I have been in search for something like this for some time. I would love to join and make the server better my IGN: BluBudgies I have been a Stargate fan for years now and hope to be a part of something awesome.

Sure. Here's some more details first on how I've been organizing things.

First, I started to build the SGC complex and Cheyenne Mountain but then discovered the outstanding Cheyenne Mountain Complex v3.0 (http://www.planetmin...lex-version-30/) which is shared with an CC Open Source license. I then made some modifications to it, most notably adding some off-base housing complexes and adding SG Team barracks on several of the floors.

Second, I selected a little over a dozen gate destinations and generated worlds to try to match their world descriptions (forest, mountainous, desert, uninhabitable, etc)

I'm creating a plugin to handle SG Team management and leadership. I'm also creating a plugin to treat Silverfish as Goa-ulds, that can take hosts (havent worked out everythin about that yet but want to take it in that direction).

I'm also thinking of treating another mob type as Jaffas but havent decided which mob type and what I can do plugin-wise to make it more jaffa like.

An update:

I am adding the possibility that Goa'uld (Silverfish) can take a human as a host, and if they do, the host (player) enjoys double damage and double health. The game will also automatically translate what the players say into Goa'uld. (well, not entire sentences, but words which the plugin identifies from a long list of Goa'uld translations).

So for example, if I said:

This town is a sanctuary for outcast Jaffa

human players would hear it as:

This Arush is a Kal mah for Kreshta Jaffa

Other Goa'uld players would hear it in regular English (because they can understand Goa'uld)

I am interested in joining. I do know a lot about Stargate as I've seen the whole thing (Including all movies series except Stargate infinity), so I can help in any architecture or if that's not necessary I will be happy to play the game...
