It seems as if BUD switches doesn't work any more, as of 1.4.4.
I'm using the same design that usually works, but it doesn't. My Pistons won't move when a block next to them updates.
Am I doing something wrong, or has it been removed from the game?

Ps. It seems as if wireless redstone doesn't work any more. The piston and iron bar lifts the boat from the pressure plate, but the pressure plate isn't deactivated.

BUDs work for me in 1.4.4. I have only Optifine installed, no other mods.

Yup, all seem to work fine. Show a picture of your BUD and we'll say what's wrong.

BTW, the wireless redstone works, but not very good.

One thing also regarding BUD switches not working in 1.4.4 is that there are several commonly used designs that take advantage of a bug in the game's coding.  Perhaps that was fixed, and other BUDs will still work?

Get rid of the mods then try a simple bud-switch.

I'm playing vanilla and just can't make them work. Played in vanilla earlier too.

Do you expect us to magically look into your savefiles? I mean I'm willing to help but hacking into your computer to see what's wrong seems a little over the top, so you're gonna have to post a picture.

Sethbling's redstone challenge map takes use of BUD switches, and I still solved it fairly easily. BUDs are still in the game, and are likely not going to be removed.

Believe me, nothing's wrong, I tried all different BUD switches I could find at the internet, but nothing works.
I'm not a redstone noob either. I'm sure that it should work but it doesn't.
Want some screenshots? Go search at youtube and google and you'll find some that I used.

If you're using the ones that he'd find on youtube or google, then he'd find ones that work. You aren't using them, because yours isn't working.

Take a screenshot of your OWN design that you are using, and then we can tell you what's wrong. But telling us to look at another (working) design, to find a mistake that you made with it doesn't help.

Every single design here works. And 1.4.5 didn't have any major changes, especially to redstone, so both versions work just fine.

I like how you tried to hide the fact that you are incompetent at using the internet by flame and passive aggression. Brilliant.

Just on a little side note, one of my friends runs a free Minecraft image hosting site called http://www.mineimg.com. You don't need an account, and you can upload as much as you want

Nice but not needed..... not everything in minecraft needs its own social sharing site. IE a FB or its own branded imgur.

Anyway yeah i tested this to. BUDs work on my end. otherwise my auto cobble farm wouldn't function.
