Hi there, and welcome to my CTM Map thread! I encourage all conversation in this thread; if you have an LP of one of my maps, feel free to post each video here as they come out. Likewise, if you have feedback or criticism of one of my maps, this is the right place to post it.
For those who don't know what a "CTM" map is, they are a genre of maps originating from Vechs' Super Hostile Series.
#1. Find and complete the Wool Monument.
#2. Use at least Easy difficulty, never Peaceful.
#3. Do not leave the map boundaries.
#4. Find wool in chests. Do not use sheep/dye/spider silk.
#5. Survive in any way you can think of.
#6. You may craft the metal and gem blocks for the Wool Monument.
#7. You may use string for non-Wool Monument uses (beds, etc.)
#8. No creating Nether Portals or crafting Ender Chests. You may use pre-made Ender Chests, but you cannot move them.

Map #1 - ToD #1 - Dreadsky Isles

This is my first CTM map, and your introduction to the world of Dreadsky and the "Tales of Dreadsky" series. The difficulty ranges from Easy to Medium, but depending on how you play certain areas (rushing, planning ahead, exploring, etc.,) it can be very difficult.
Map #2 - ToD #2 - Dreadsky Depths
Version: Unreleased, planned to use 1.5 features.
This will be my second, full-length CTM map. I have a basic plan for every area, as well as some detailed plans for more complex areas. It will take place underground, like a standard cave CTM map, and have five Intersections (yes, I said FIVE). For this map, I am focusing on aesthetics and gameplay heavily, as I did with Dreadsky Isles, but I'm also looking to implement things I'm referring to as "cinematic events". You'll understand when you play the map.
Map #3 - ToD #3 - Dreadsky Heavens
Version: Unreleased, still being planned.
This will be either my third or fourth full-length CTM map, depending on if I work on Map #4 first. I have very basic plans for roughly half of the areas, with no plans for the rest. It will be similar in some ways to Dreadsky Isles, as an open-air floating islands map, but with a void floor. I plan for certain areas to have a very "wispy" or "mystical" feeling to them, while others will be very dark and intimidating.
I have no release goal for this map other than "before the end of 2013".
Minimap #1 - Dreadsky Falls
Version: Unreleased, currently indev.
Myths are the one thing that keep the surviving inhabitants of Dreadsky sane. Myths of better times, paradise beyond the horizon, even myths of a hero soon coming to bring peace and hope to their shattered land. One myth, though, is held in reverence above the rest. It says that there is a place in Dreadsky so powerfully imbued with magic, that those who set their feet upon its ground inherit some of that magic. So powerful that even death can be reversed, and the deceased can walk amongst the living.
This is where you find yourself. The smell of magic stings your nose with its potency, but with each breath you take, you feel more powerful, more alive. You look up, past the tendrils of silken cloud above the glacial ice, and see a waterfall. No, the waterfall.
This will be a larger minimap designed to offer a unique and unusual spin on CTM-style gameplay. I can't promise any release date, but I'm gunning for mid to late-November.
